Two future SBC members are playing their final season in the TAAC this year. Danbury, who was a charter member of the TAAC in 1988, is coming off their first ever playoff appearance last year, and Gibsonburg, who joined the TAAC in 2011, is coming off back to back conference championships. Both have started their 2017 seasons 1-0.
The TAAC is an interesting conference in both setup and geography, with it's mix of full, non-football and football only members that currently stretch from the Marblehead Peninsula to the Indiana border, with a total of 9 football schools that do not play a full conference schedule. Next year the TAAC will have 8 football members, with the departure of Gibsonburg and Danbury and the addition of Stryker, who will be playing their first varsity football season since 1931 and will be the 4th Buckeye Border Conference school to join the TAAC as a football only member.
Football has been a conference sport in the TAAC since 1999, and the following schools have won conference titles:
10 - Northwood 3 - Ottawa Hills 2 - Cardinal Stritch 2 - Gibsonburg 1 - Toledo Christian 1 - Tiffin Calvert 1 - Montpelier

Gibsonburg blanks Hilltop 35-0 to win their 3rd straight TAAC title on their way out the door to the SBC River
Final TAAC Sandings:
9-1, 6-0 Gibsonburg 8-2, 6-1 Hilltop 7-3, 6-1 Ottawa Hills 5-5, 4-2 Northwood 3-7, 3-3 Edon 3-7, 1-5 Danbury 1-9, 1-5 Cardinal Stritch 1-9, 1-5 Montpelier 0-10, 0-6 Toledo Christian
Now it's possible that the Ottawa Hills @ Hilltop game was an OOC game among league members that didn't count for the standings. If so, then Ottawa Hills was 6-0 in conference games and shares the title with Gibsonburg, and Hilltop was 5-1.
