Ontario wins the conference. You might want to learn more about them.

He did leave. He went to Ontario. So you're saying 2 Sophomores originally from N-10 schools have transferred to Ontario this year?

"Mystery transfer", I like that. Even better when it's directed at someone who goes psycho when other do not list facts, names and sources.

I have reasons, unlike you who blabbered on here about a 14 year old kid and his past.

Here is Galion's schedule. Galion only had their home games posted on arbiterlive so I had to go through their opponents schedules to get away games. 12/1 Bucyrus 12/7 @ Upper Sandusky 12/8 @ Pleasant 12/14 River Valley 12/16 @ Marion Harding 12/20 Clear Fork 12/23 St Peters (@ontario, Richland Source Challenge) 12/27 @ Cardington 1/4 @ North Union 1/6 Ontario 1/12 @ Buckeye Valley 1/18 Pleasant 1/20 @ River Valley 1/23 Northmor 1/25 Buckeye Central 1/26 Marion Harding 2/1 @ Clear Fork 2/3 North Union 2/6 Mount Gilead 2/9 @ Ontario 2/15 Buckeye Valley 2/17 @ Crestline

Last year Galion lost 20 games by a total of 452 points, average loss of 22.6 pts. The 3 seasons before, they lost 37 games combined by a total of 398 points, average loss of 10.8 pts. Also, we lost SEVEN games last year by at least 30 pts. The last time we lost even ONE game by at least 30 points was 2013 against Ontario. The last time before that was 2011.The 10 seasons prior to last season had a combined SEVEN losses by at least 30 points. That includes the one year with Keesey as coach that we lost 4 by over 30 points. Two of those came against Upper with Jon Diebler. I just thought those were interesting stats that show how not only were we losing but we weren't even competitive in most games. It was probably one of the 3 worst seasons in Galion Boy's Basketball history.

Why do think the two N-10 kids came to Ontario? A lot of friendships and camaraderie are built in AAU basketball. More games, longer road trips, eating and sleeping together. Usually there has to be a reason they're not happy where they are and a reason to go to the new place. I hope he stays happy. He didn't leave this year. He can be the guy in Galion.

I think this is why he'll stay in Galion. The coaches let him do whatever he wants. In fact, during halftime of one of the games last year, the coach told the players that they need to give the ball to Alsip more so he can shoot more and that they just need to get on board. The coach said that he was going to break Reinking's scoring record.

He said that since Reinking didn't play Varsity as a freshman and Alsip did, he'll be able to break it. He has a point, it should be close but I doubt he gets it. Also, it's just a strange conversation to have with your team at halftime of a game.

Reinking did play some his freshman year but didn't score much. But what he did do was average 21,27 and 28 points a game in his soph, jr and sr seasons.

The kid is over 1400 points away after completing his freshman year in which he averaged 11 pts on a team that won 3 games. I'll wait to see this season before I would say he will be close to the record. I have not seen anything that would indicate he will average 20+/game for the rest of his career at Galion.

He set the Galion record for most points in a season as a freshman. If he averages 17 ppg for the next 3 years, that would put him at 1,448 for his career, 2nd in Galion history. About 250 behind Reinking and over 300 ahead of 3rd place. I would say that's "close". I don't know if he'll even get to 17 ppg. Heck, he may never get to 12 ppg. The original post was to WF about how he may not transfer to Ontario because he gets to take as many shots as he wants here and the COACH told the team he was going to break the record. I just think it would be nice to see him get to 1,000. Galion only has four 1,000 point scorers.

It always looked like his shots came within the structure of the offense, until the end of a close game if Galion needed some baskets to win. If memory serves he got a lot of his points at the free throw line. Got fouled a lot and made a very high %.

You're right about Reinking. A very smart, unselfish player, and an incredible shooter.

Nate was a beast from middle of the key. Great dribble drive and pull up jumper. They ran a bunch of stuff to pick him open. Alsip has skill but no where near the level of Nate. Won't get there in my opinion. Hope he proves me wrong

The man was one of a kind. I have not seen anything close to him in a Galion uniform since.

But the competition Alsip is playing against is nowhere near the competition that Reinking played against. The MOAC right now is a really bad conference for basketball.

Does anybody know when Cam Todd will be able to play? Last I heard it was not decided. He is still in a cast and has to spend some time in a boot after that. Then he would have to do some light therapy and rehab. There is the possibility he may skip this season.

Galion's scrimmage schedule: 11/14- Bellevue and Lexington 11/15- Willard 11/18- Ridgedale
They had a scrimmage on 11/11 with Wynford that was cancelled. I've heard that Galion's numbers are down right now. They have just 6 or 7 freshman (4 out of 5 starters from last year aren't playing) and a couple of their top JV players from last year aren't playing this year. They also had a couple of their top Varsity players almost didn't play either. I heard most aren't playing because of coaching but some aren't playing for other reasons.

We had a great team last year, lost 6 seniors, 4 of which started most of the year. The 5th one started at the beginning and then later played great minutes off the bench. Lack of leadership will be a problem with this team! They have no leader! Or leaders However they will still win at least 13-17 games, coach Balogh will have them ready.. or at least they will be in shape Starting lineup should look something like this 1 Kaden Hooks 2 not sure could be Jayden Jacobs, or even Griffin Shaver 3 Kyshonne Brooks 4 Chance Mott 5 Logan Jones They do lack a bench JV team was subpar last year, and a lot of lazy kids from that team!!!! How many wins you give Ontario?
