This is a Saturday game.
Whoever wins this will clinch at least a share of the River Division title. Last year this was a week 10 matchup to decide the first River Division title as both schools entered 3-0 in conference play, and Calvert won it 40-32

shouid be a good game. Calvert but close
more problems in castalia. a year they were suppose to win 8-9 games they are going to end up with half of that. stems from a bad coaching hire and the community having zero faith in him

Who could have imagined hiring a coach with his track record could go badly?

Not arguing the coach has some character flaws, but who the heck thought they were going to win 8 games?

They're a year early! next year when they drop norwalk, huron and have a complete 8 game league schedule adding horrible danbury and gibsonburg they will win 8 games.

Between Calvert, Seneca East, Gibsonburg, Western Reserve, Monroeville & Lakota I see an easy 4 loses.

Calvert 41 Margaretta 16 Final
Calvert clinches at least a share of their 2nd straight SBC River Division title, which is their 10th overall championship in the SBC

Monroeville game was sloppy on both sides, and the Eagles knew it; had several starters out. Tche Leroux as a senior may be more than Bears can handle, provided he gets some blocking. I'm thinking leaner times are ahead for Margaretta before good times return, but thankfully not for very long.

well that game was not pretty. kind of what mhs deserves. incompetent leaders in charge who hired unqualified friends as coaches .
lots and lots of questions need to be answered in Castalia.

Did coach P. settle on a name - was hired as Todd Polk but been referred to as Pooch all season in media. Was wondering if he changed his name back?

The real losers in this are the players who are suffering from the sins of their "leaders". Kids deserved better than they got from the admin.

They have a pretty good staff. Please stop complaining about the guys they have. Pooch, Graventhorst, Raifsnider, and Hofacker. Some schools would be begging for a staff like that (Perkins, OH, Lakota, Willard, etc) Give me a break. Seems like people are sour cause they didn't get hired for a job at Margaretta.

Willard would have to pass! The community is very happy with Coach Devier and his staff. He has the program headed in the right direction.

I would venture to say Lakota is very happy with their coach as well. Whens the last time they've had a winning record? And, what he did with PC before coming to Lakota was tremendous!

One bad year @ Perkins vs. a Margaretta program that just two years ago was highlighted in a three-part article on how they were nearing the brink? Good Lord.

I think even sharonpeter would take Coach May over Margaretta staff. Coach May might not win enough for some but he's a class guy and has a good staff. At Lakota Coach Lento has done a good job, plus he has Coach Jacoby back running the defense. Though Lakota has played such weaker opponents then in the past.

Don't put Lakota in that list....we are quite happy with the staff we have. I would say that 6-4 is a little better than the 5-5. Not to mention we were 14 points from being 9-1

We had two weaker games but we only had a 7 point difference against Margretta, 5 or 6 against Calvert and 1 point against Gibsonburg. So don't ever count us out.

Couldn't agree more. Extremely happy with our coach and his POSITIVE ATTITUDE NO MATTER WIN OR LOSE.
