Final: Edison 17 Huron 7, What was going on with that famous Edison band ? Looked smaller than normal, was the other half of the band somewhere else? They didn't play as much as we're used to. Huron's band was much more lively. As far as the game, it was a sloppy, but very winnable game by Huron. Edison was lucky to escape with this win, They should be an early out of the playoffs, I expected more out of an 8-2 team than that. Officiating was awful, Way to many flags on Huron, Very little against Edison, especially holding.

I think Edison will be able to beat Otsego and it'll set up a 2nd round rematch with Eastwood from last year.

Sam Stoll was great again even with the dirty play by Huron trying to twist his ankle after several plays. It was so obvious at the end of the game that a fight almost broke out. Edison wore down the Tigers and a classy move by coach Hall at the end of the game to take a knee instead of scoring again. Huron played well the first half but Edison completely dominated the second half. Edison has a great shot against Ostego.

Huron did not lose because of the officiating, It did seem over officiated at times, and too lopsided on the flags. Edison made 2 plays to win that game. Surprisingly, It looked like Huron was wore out in the 2nd half. Take away the interception return for TD, And that 70 yard TD run, Edison only scored 3 points, That was a nice 42 yard FG in the rain. Both teams marched up & down the field, but couldn't finish drives, Credit the defenses. That's not really a classy move by your coach, That's what's expected of EVERY coach, up 2 scores that late, The bigger story is the shrinking # of kids playing in that once proud Edison band, I'm hoping we're wrong but we counted in the 70's, There used to be over 200 kids in the Chargers band. Even with the dwindling #'s, they were still jammin, good halftime enthusiasm & show, But not much for music before and after that. Hopefully they get it figured out, why the kids are losing interest, or don't want to be in the band anymore

As far as the band, I don't know about Edison, but I know Perkins doesn't put out certain instrument players when it's pouring rain because it's not good for the instruments. Probably what was going on at Edison.

Saw the Edison band during the melon fest parade and they seemed to be as large and loud as usual. As far as the game, I wasn't to impressed with the Chargers game plan in the first half. They seemed to try and pass the ball more than they should have instead of running Stoll. They made a adjustment at half and the Tigers got a heavy dose of Stoll 3rd and fourth quarters. Edison does not have a great secondary and any team that has a good passing attack will have an above average to get a win against the Chargers. I was impressed with the Tigers game plan, but I think it was a little to late in the year to finally open up the passing game, I think if we would of opened the offense up like that all year, we would be talking about the Tigers in week 11 also. Thought the Tiger defense did a real good job all game with only giving up 10 points. Good luck to the chargers in week 11!
