This is a great end of year matchup. Hard to say in week 10 but do we really know what either of these teams look like at their best. If Port Clinton can run the ball I think they have the horses to pull this off. If Oak Harbor runs the ball the same could be said. This could maybe be referred to as a linebacker bowl to see which team "brings it" on defense. I think the homefield edge is the difference.

It's nice to see this back to being a competitive rivalry again. For 20+ years the question most years wasn't "who wins" it was "How much does Oak Harbor win by.
I honestly don't know what to expect out of Oak Harbor except for this much. You can argue about his w/l record and the direction of the program. However you cannot argue that Mike May's teams are not hard hitting and physical. I expect the rockets to bring those two traits with them on Friday.

5 years now without a winning record and i bet my Mom hits harder than most of them. Nobody fears the Rockets anymore and thats a sad statement.

And he will stay. THey have had bad losses in Fostoria and Vermilion. (Don't give me Vermilion is good either).
Decent win over D7 Calvert (Calvert Without their QB).
Decent win over Huron, and competitive with Edison.
Until their Defense improves, they are not going to improve. And they won't compete for a playoff spot until they actually beat someone.

Oak harbor defense hasn’t played awful since after week 2 , it was a rough start again fostoria and genoa but since then have played very well against the run but still struggles against the passing game at times. They also have been missing players the past few weeks with losing the left gaurd, quarterback/free safety, and there runningback/outside linebacker

Oak Harbor...Just can’t see PC winning this one Got any reasoning? Some of my thoughts. - if Oak Harbor gets down by any more than 10 at any point in the second half. They will be in serious trouble. - Port Clinton is more likely win a slug fest with Oak harbor. Than Oak Harbor is to win a horse race with PC. (Perceived weaknesses) - really looking forward to watching Cole Roob play again. Kids good - .

Had a chance to take this game in and it looks like Oak Harbor ran the ball better, much better. I bet that OH had maybe 18 first downs to PC maybe 5. Many issues with the Port Clinton game plan. Offensively, very vanilla play calling (no trick plays, no misdirection) and consistent running between tackles into Oak Harbor strength. Port Clinton defense couldn't get off the field but the offense didn't give them much time to rest. I see so many teams in the area playing kids two ways and it seems Port Clinton is reluctant to do so. For all the Mike May complaining from Oak Harbor, he definitely out coached the PC squad, and the OH team got stronger after one of their elite players left the game early. It will be interesting to see if PC coaches are strong enough to change game style to fit players, or fall into "old PC" rut of running same offense every year despite strength of athletes.

Congrats Mike may. Even though your buddy drew grahl did his best to dumb down the schedule to make you a winner you still came up 5-5. Nice job

Seven opponents were the same as last year. 3 different... Last year: Clyde, This year: Shelby = We'll call that a Push from a toughness standpoint. OH lost both games. Last year: SJCC, This year: Clavert = Much tougher opponent this year. OH won both games. Last year: Eastwood, This year: Woodmore = Much tougher opponent last year. OH won both games.

10 seasons. 3 winning seasons. Zero playoff appearances. Time for change.
