JT went with option #3 The final score should have been much more in favor of Ohio State. The officials gift wrapped 14 points for PSU 39-24. And allowing a kickoff return for a TD for the 2nd time this year. Come on Urban get that group to play better. OSU should have won by 3+ TD's for how badly they outplayed Penn State. Every break seemed to go in PSU's favor. The Defense was pretty darn good all afternoon vs a potent offense. The O line (minus false starts) was pretty darn good all afternoon JT Barrett played like option #2 in the 1st quarter, then went option #3/#2 for the next 2 quarters, and in the 4th quarter Barrett went option #4 (was not listed and that is Play like a Heisman front runner) Great game by JT Barrett, that's the JT we saw vs Michigan State in 2014 when JT was in the running for the Heisman as a freshman. 16-16 to finish off the comeback win. Urban Meyer needs to fire himself as the Special Teams coach.Kerry Coombs is the the special teams coach and yes, Urban has been involved in rectifying a multitude of different concerns with special team play. The outside contain on the opening kick was non-existent and looked striking similar to the Maryland run back. Watching replays, all the speed guys were committed to the point of attack and then sealed down by blockers, leaving slow footed pursuers nothing but easy work for Saquon once he broke contain and got to open field. The coaches are going to have to put better, more experienced, and starters on the Kick Off team. My research shows that other than the kicker there are 3 walkons, 4 Freshmen, 2 Sophomores and only 1 defensive starter on the Kick Off team.

Quite average? Huh? J.T. was personally responsible for 436 total yards! He played a remarkable game, beginning to end., but the 4th qtr. was off the charts! Urban Meyer said it was the single best performance of any QB in his entire coaching career.......nuff said. I can see the Barrett bashing will resume fairly soon. This is what some of us have been defending. I do feel JT played a great game and came thru for his team when they needed him the most. But how can JT be the only one responsible for 436 yards in a game but not be personally responsible when the he does not play well?

I CAN'T BELIEVE MY EYES!!!! "how can JT be the only one responsible for 436 yards". Says one that 100% blames ONLY ONE player out of 150 players on a TEAM every time Ohio State has lost a game the past 4 years!
You need to read my posts chicken shat. I have said since the end of the game yesterday that NO ONE should be giving ALL the credit for the win to one player. RBs must run the ball and help pass protect. WRs must catch passes. The Defense held Barkley to an average of 2 yards/carry, except for one 36 yard run. The defense had to put the clamps on the Penn State offense for the Ohio State offense to make the come back. AND the O-line must play great. As a matter of fact, the Penn State Head Coach said the reason Ohio State won the game was due to their O-line's pass protection. He said a good QB with the experience JT has can complete passes with ease if he can stand in the pocket untouched for as long as he did in the 4th quarter. He blamed his defense's lack of a pass rush for the loss.

I almost turned this game off, It looked like Penn State was playing the Oakland Raiders, And I won't watch another NFL game anymore. Then I realized in fact it was Ohio State dressed in these ridiculous looking uniforms. Was the special teams coach also involved in the decision to wear these ugly uniforms too?

Good Lord. Enough complaining that about the freaking uniforms. Nike pays Ohio State over $16 million a year to wear their stuff. Wearing a different uniform doesn't hurt anything, the players and recruits like it. Really the only people that have problems with it are old people

Still can't get over the defensive play. Completely shutting down the leader for the Heisman in such a convincing fashion. This bares repeating.....Barkley had 44 yds on 21 carries, that's 2.1 ypc, but wait, it's actually worse than that. Barkley ripped off his longest run of the night for 36 yds., which means he could only muster a measley 8 yds. on 20 attempts. 8 yards on 20 carries is .04 yards per carry!
Sam Hubbard tackling both McSorely and Barkley as they were making the ball exchange was insane.
Heck, if you're not sure who has the ball, take em both down!
Nick Bosa & Jalyn Holmes helped complete the destruction......lol

I liked the gray uniforms too. There was a lot of complaining on the internet, message boards, twitter, etc. about them but I thought they were nice. I loved the red Lebrons and the scarlet leaves as well.

The reason I posted the link was because you are uninformed when you say no Wooster player was charged and the ordeal was the fault of a Lexington parent. I assume you were not at the game so you are relying on what someone has told you. Wooster players were disciplined, Wooster adults were charged and the riot, as you called it, began with a Wooster fan throwing a punch at a Lexington Grandparent. Please explain to me; what the hell this has to do with the Penn State vs. Ohio State game? I think we have a 'General Discussion' section for this kind of crap to be argued ad nauseum. That question should be directed at the dumbazz who drifted from the topic to throw stones from his glass house. Posted by Willard FillmoreOct 25, 2017 at 10:41pm
YOU blamed a Wooster player for the riot after the Lex/Wooster bball game last year. I said that I heard it was the fault of the father of a Lex player. You called me a liar. Lo and behold THREE relatives of the Lex player were charged with misdemeanors that led to the riot. No Wooster player was charged with any offense, by the Lex police.

I loved the red Lebrons and the scarlet leaves as well. I had no problem with the unis, but wouldn't care to see them again. I guess most importantly, the army of young recruits on the sidelines, were impressed with the uniforms, couple that with the dramatic play by the Buckeyes on the field, the extraordinarily loud fans, the atmosphere, certainly enhanced our chances of landing the commitments of some big time recruits in the coming days, weeks, months.

Helmets were pretty sweet. Uni's were ok but nothing special. What was with the shoes, they almost looked pink.

Interesting stuff that has come out about this game.
The last TD pass caught by TE Marcus Baugh, was a brand new play put in 3 days before the game. Ohio State coaches knew Penn State would be in a specific defense in the Red Zone at a critical point in the game. Day and Wilson called the play. Urban thought, "Oh no, what if they come with an all out blitz, were screwed". When JT called the play Baugh thought, "I can't believe they want me to catch the most important pass of the game. I had dropped a pass and just missed a block." JT saw the defense and knew it would work, "What ever direction the safety went he'd be wrong, all I had to do was get it over the head of the LB that was looking at me instead of covering Marcus."
The TD passes down the middle to Dixon and McLaurin were the exact same pass routes. Ohio State coaches knew if they caught Penn State DBs in a certain look they could not cover either Dixon or McLaurin on that route. The TD in the corner of the end zone was a play JT checked into. Penn State had a 2nd string Corner in the game covering Dixon and knew he could beat him with a back shoulder throw to Dixon.
The coaches saw a specific formation when Penn State would run a read option at Sam Hubbard, leaving him unblocked and "read" him. The coaches told Hubbard when he saw it to ignore everything else and charge as fast as he could right at the QB, we saw the results.
In the final 1:30 when Penn State had the ball at the 40, all of the defensive coaches were arguing what to do, what blitzes to Use. Larry Johnson was saying. "JUST TURN MY GUYS LOOSE, JUST TURN EM LOOSE. Schiano "turned em loose" and had the other 7 guys cover. Johnson said he knew his guys were fresh, due to rotating 8 guys all game and Penn State's O-line was tired, they wouldn't have a chance if his guys were just turned loose. We saw what happened.
JT had a GREAT game, but the coaches also had a great game. Outside of one run, the Ohio State defense holding Barkley to ONE FOOT/carry, is insane. There's no doubt about who was out coached.
