I'm watching the rerun of the game on BCSN, Looks like #5 Alexander was limping back to the huddle after his QB run, before the next play, which he was hit during the completed pass play. None of it was intentional or out of the ordinary, Just a freak football injury that happens. Best of luck to him in a speedy recovery.

Feel bad for Sandusky. Losing Alexander definitely shifted the momentum and you could see the Streaks were shell shocked after losing their leader. However, Sandusky was out coached all night long. It seems Franklin struggles when he gets in the playoffs. Maybe being too conservative. Would like to have seen them take more shots down field. But credit to Clyde, their defense was swarming all night and they was very creative with their play calling. I think Carter is hands down the best coach in the area.

Oh my gosh! Excuses, excuses.... we will never know what “would” have happened had Alexander not gotten hurt and could play the whole game.
The fact of the matter is Clyde was scoring even with Alexander in, its an even bigger fact obviously that the other elite athletes weren’t as elite as we thought....
I hate when people just can’t take an “L” when it comes.
A superior coached team made the proper adjustments and game plan and you see what happened.

I agree with birdman...We all heard on here how Sandusky had that 4-5 athletes and if someone could match up with them they would give Sandusky a run...Well it took more than a few ..It was a whole TEAM effort that Clyde brought to their home table and cleaned it up with no left overs ... Lucky.?? Not one bit .. There was no l s in that TEAM from Clyde .Good coaching good game plan and most of alll TEAM EFFORT ... Good luck Cyde Fliers .

It was a fairly even game prior to Alexander going down (7-0). Sandusky had multiple three and outs with a JV QB leading to more Clyde possessions. Clyde loaded the box after Alexander went down to neutralized Stewart... even I could’ve made those calls for Clyde, really doesn’t take a superior coach. Anyone who thinks Clyde was the by far superior team on the field can reference the *** whooping they took week 8.

Alexander going out didn't have anything to do with Clyde still scoring 35 and could've been more.

Haha thanks sbcfan, Clyde was obviously the superior team... I rooted for the streaks all year, even against Clyde.
I’m sure you could have coached that team and beat sandusky that night too... what did ya do stay at a holiday inn???

How does Jordy Nelson look without Aaron Rodgers or their wr group? Does anyone think that in a playoff week the coach is going to take time from a limited amount of practice to put the #2 QB in for valuable practice snaps just in case Alexander got hurt? He would have ran his normal backup reps just like they regularly would have. I wonder how those Clyde teams would have faired if Alex Gillette (sp) would have went down in the middle of a game his Sr season? Nevermind I already know they would have had another D1 recruit ready to go right after him, right in the middle of the game...

So your saying that if Gillette would of went down the whole team would of....Not... Clyde plays as a TEAM not as an individual ... Back then CLYDES DEFENSE most probably be angry and fired up... More than likely they would of been the ones to score if Gillette went down .....

Those schools in the TRAC spend more time recruiting so it makes sense and they are much larger so they should send more kids to College.

Have to remember Huron has been to the state finals and the Redmen have a couple semi final appearances also in 1996 and 2001. Bigger question is how many TRAC schools don’t have open enrollment or recruit being catholic schools? All these SBC teams (current) do it with homegrown talent from borders within their school district. which obviously hurts Fremont also playing those schools

I remember 96 / 2001., my bad.Old nol / new sbc has tradition rich schools that hadSince success.
Streak
Do the Catholics in toledo recruit? Some more than others .. St Francis has lost kids to central and Toledo st.Johns is cycle about 3-4 years between playoff caliber teams high level talent .whitmer has a thousand boys in high school!! How fare to Ross. Findlay has 700-800 boys, same thing.
Since trac forming in 2011 lima sr was dead program and now is s div.2 power. Ross went 7-3 in 14 , than long started with rebuilding program in 15 .He is doing a fine job at Ross. Findlay in same span was its powerful self.clay is showing signs of resurgence.
The trac is Nw Ohio's top football conference top to bottom,in large part the fremonts / limas / Clays / whitmer / findlay have to get better as a program.
Some in Fremont would like sbc cuz its closer but Ross has to play and build there football program accordingly like they are.

That seems to be your normal, make a statement and deliver it as fact, when in reality, you're almost 180% away from the truth. Here's a link that shows that probably 90% of the districts in Ohio offer FULL open enrollment. education.ohio.gov/getattachment/Topics/Quality-School-Choice/Open-Enrollment/OE-DISTRICT-1.pdf.aspx

That’s funny u mention my posts being the norm but when in fact you’ve never posted in the same thread as me. I’ll stand by the comment catholic schools have greater area and athletes to pull from

ALL current and known future members of the SBC that are public schools are Open Enrollment schools. Again, open enrollment is one thing in a large city with paid education and exposure for colleges than it is for Clyde, Bellevue, Tiffin, monroeville and so on. MANY more kids in the big cities than other schools I used as an example combined. Not often you will ever see a kid travel 20-30mins or more away to play for a non catholic school without the same exposure...... right? 🤔 if everyone is so dumb to not see a difference between the top premier Catholic schools who are in the playoffs or the state finals every year compared to the small town schools in our area then I don’t know what to tell you other then you’re just trying to be argumentative.

Why is it that kids are willing to travel 20-30 minutes to a Private School but not to a Public School???
