Let me ask, if all that matters is net yards rushing by QB's, why do box scores also give the gross yards gained rushing for QBs? Why in the case of running backs, all that is given is yards rushing. There is nothing in box scores showing how many yards a running back loses when tackled behind the line of scrimmage. That reduces their rushing yard total, just as sacks reduce QBs rushing yard total. In a box score the QB rushing stats will typically be listed right with the running backs. If they list the gross and net yard for the rushers in a game they will list both QBs and RBs. If they only list the net it will be that way for both. If a RB is hit in the backfield for a loss it does go against his total. For example the box score from this game lists Dobbins, JT, Weber, Haskins and Campbell were all listed with gain-loss-net rushing yards.

shew boy there's always a rocket science explanation for why every time Barrett is replaced his replacement does better than he did why don't we just do the things you apologists say we do when Barrett is out when Barrett is in? why didn't we just hand off to Zeke in 2015 and go undefeated? why didn't we just pound the rock and throw sick crossing routes when Barrett was in the game vs UM last week? Ladies and gentlemen, I'll be brief. The issue here is not whether JT missed a few passes, or held the ball too long, he did. But you can't hold a whole football team responsible for the behavior of a quarterback with college level talent. For if you do, then shouldn't we blame the quarterback coach? And if the quarterback coach is guilty, then isn't this an indictment of all the Buckeye Assistant coaches? I put it to you, Torch - isn't this an indictment of our Head Coach-Urban Meyer? Well, you can do whatever you want to us, but we're not going to sit here and listen to you badmouth Urban Meyer. Gentlemen! [Leads the Deltas out of the hearing, all humming the Buckeye Battle Cry]

How JT Barrett IV ruined the 2015 season by ball hogging and playing a pathetic game vs MSU
Drive #1 Zeke run JT incomplete pass JT completed pass Miller run JT run JT run PUNT
Drive #2 Zeke run Zeke run Zeke run Zeke run Zeke run Zeke run JT completed pass JT run Zeke run Zeke run for a TD 7-0 Ohio State
---- Zeke would only carry it 3 more times the entire rest of the game, then complain about not getting the ball after the game
Drive #3 Zeke run JT sacked JT incomplete pass PUNT
Drive #4 JT incomplete pass JT completed pass JT run PUNT
Drive #5 JT incomplete pass JT completed pass JT completed pass PUNT - noodle throws
7-7 tie at the half
2nd half
Drive #6 Zeke run JT run JT incomplete pass PUNT
Drive #7 JT run JT run JT run JT run PUNT
Drive #8 JT completed pass - TD (6 yard drive) 14-7 Ohio State leads
Drive #9 Miller run JT completed pass JT run JT incomplete pass Zeke run JT completed pass PUNT
Drive #10 JT incomplete pass JT run Miller run PUNT
JT had an 18.1 QBR vs Michigan State that day JT decided he should carry it more than Zeke
JT has a habit of blowing big games with his noodle arm & ball hogging it from our stud RBs
example vs Clemson last year JT with a pathetic 15.2 QBR JT decided to carry it 11 times to Mike Weber's 5 carries. Curtis Samuel avg 11 ypc, but he only got 6 carries. JT thought he was a better runner.
Hopefully JT doesn't ball hog vs Wisconsin. Give it to our stud RBs so we can finally win a Big Ten Championship otherwise Urban Meyer will fall to 1 for 6 at winning Big Ten Titles <--- Not good. Edit to add, thank you Cardale Jones for giving it to Zeke vs Wisconsin and winning Urban Meyer his only Big Ten Title. Giving it to our stud RBs is a formula for success.

FAKE STATS
THE COACHES CALL THE PLAYS
Failure to mention the weather in that game.
Failure to mention JT was 9 of 18 on passes, Wisconsin QB 8 of 16.
COACHES CALL THE PLAYS
Failure to mention that Zeke was in the hospital the week before that game.
COACHES CALL THE PLAYS
Failure to mention that Zeke blamed Urban for the loss for not giving him the ball enough. NO ONE on the team blamed JT.
COACHES CALL THE PLAYS
Failure to mention how the OSU Defense could not stop Wisconsin's QB sweeps
Failure to mention how the Wisconsin defense stopped the Ohio State QB sweeps.
JT is a "ball hog"?? A LIE! JT has 130 carries this year for a Net average of 5.2 yards/carry. Running backs and WRs on jet sweeps have 344 carries. Why can't supposed stat guru Dumbo Vogel give us that stat?
COACHES CALL THE PLAYS.
FAKE STATS. Where is the list of Wisconsin plays???
FAKE STATS. FAILURE to give all stats. DISHONESTY. All done to further a personal agenda.
THE COACHES CALL THE PLAYS!!!

Dumb as a bat Vogel. Cardale didn't give it to Zeke on his own volition....... THE COACHES CALL THE PLAYS.
For the haters. JT became the first QB in Big Ten history to be named 1st Team All-League 3 times. BEFORE the haters chime in that it's because he played 4 years. Can it not be done in a 3 year only career? JT was 1st Team All-League when he was a Freshman.

Fillmore are you trying to say the coaches call a better game when Barrett is not under center?
Because you distance JT from the play calling, fair enough, but then you seem to agree with us that the team functions better the less the ball is in Barrett's hands. If the team is thriving when the coaches are calling plays for our RBs, and floundering when they are "ballhogging" the ball for JT, then it is obvious that you agree, the team functions better when Barrett is not under center.
Way to be champ. I knew you had it in ya.

Way to be champ. I knew you had it in ya. Surely you jest. All I am saying is that THE COACHES CALL EVERY PLAY. When you see QB's look at the side line its because THE COACHES want to change the play. When you see the QB talking to the O-linemen or pointing in the direction of the opponents, he's pointing out a "tell" given to them in their scouting report. That "tells" where a blitz is coming from or "tells' what coverage is being disguised. QBs cannot change the play called to another of the hundreds of plays in a playbook, WAY too complex. THE COACHES do want the QB to check to a few specific plays given for that specific game, when a certain "tell" is noticed by the QB. That happens around 5-10% of the time. IF a QB screws up and checks out of plays he should not have. He is given far less leeway to check out of the PLAYS CALLED BY THE COACHES. "ball hogging" is a LIE. ONE MORE TIME. JT has carried the ball 130 times INCLUDING scrambles. RBs and WRs on jet sweeps or hand offs have carried the ball 344 times. Discounting scrambles "others" than JT have had almost THREE TIMES as many carries than JT.

yeah, the coaches call a better game when JT is on the bench like i said, even you agree No, when JT is on the bench THE COACHES must eliminate 75% of the PLAYS THEY CALL in the game plan. You weren't sharp enough to notice? Only 3 pass patterns were used. The once called the most was the 5 yard down field crossing pattern. Haskins can't run read option run plays. Haskins can't run read run pass option plays. Haskins can't handled QB run plays. Outside of his scramble he gained 2 yards on 2 run plays. An interesting tid bit from Urban's interview today. He said that Haskins hasn't been mature enough to do what Joe Burrow does everyday in practice. He chooses not to stand with Burrow, 10 yards behind the QB and watch every play run in practice by the first team offense. That's what's been suggest since Kenny Guiton was the first to do it. As President John Adams once said, "Facts are stubborn things." Where are your facts?

Espn reports JT had microsurgery to remove a piece of bone and Urban says he will be fine vs Wisconsin. I had that same microsurgery on my knee to remove a small amount of scar tissue that was causing pain. I was more than sore for 2 weeks. Knee swelled up, could barely move it for a week. This is quite laughable that Urban is so dead set hard on for JT, that he will throw a broken qb coming off surgery in a huge game. Jesus, this cant be real. Urban is an idiot.

But Torch, that's only because the coaches didn't call the right plays. Apparently part of the play design is to have JT hold onto the ball long enough for the db's to recover and close on the receiver.

Here's another ball hog game by JT Barrett IV vs Michigan, circa 2016
Drive #1 Samuel run Samuel run JT pass complete Weber run JT run JT run Weber run JT pass complete JT sacked Missed FG - Way to take a sack in FG range JT
Drive #2 JT run JT pass complete JT sacked PUNT
Drive #3 Samuel run Weber run JT pass incomplete PUNT
Drive #4 JT run JT pass incomplete JT pass complete JT pass complete JT sacked JT pass incomplete JT pass incomplete PUNT
Drive #5 Weber run Weber run Weber run JT pass incomplete Samuel run JT pass incomplete PUNT
OSU intercepts Michigan and scores a TD to give OSU 7-3 lead
Drive #6 take a knee - halftime - 10-7 Michigan
Drive #7 JT run JT pass complete JT pass incomplete JT throws INT
Drive #8 JT run JT pass incomplete JT pass complete Weber run JT pass incomplete JT pass complete Fake Punt - stopped short
Drive #9 Samuel run JT run JT pass incomplete JT run JT pass incomplete JT run JT pass incomplete JT pass complete JT pass incomplete PUNT
Drive #10 JT run Weber run - TD - 17-14 Michigan still up An INT set OSU up near the goal line for an easy score
Drive #11 JT sacked JT run JT sacked PUNT
Drive #12 JT pass incomplete JT run JT pass complete JT sacked JT run Weber run Weber run JT pass incomplete JT run Missed FG
Drive #13 JT sacked JT run JT pass incomplete JT pass complete Weber run JT pass complete JT run JT run JT pass complete JT run JT run JT pass complete FG - 17-17 tie
JTs offense led OSU to 3 points in 60 minutes. The defense scored 7 and set up another easy 7 for the offense. Good job ball hog JT.
OVERTIME
Drive #14 Samuel run - 18 yard gash JT run - TD
Drive #15 JT run JT sacked JT pass complete JT run Samuel run - TD - game winner
And the box score says 30 carries - JT 'Ball Hog' Barrett IV 11 carries - Mike Weber 7 carries - Curtis Samuel
JT also had an amazing 38.2 QBR - those that follow the QBR know anything under 80 is a poor performance.
Ohio State is absolutely loaded with 4 & 5 star players at the skill positions, yet JT Barrett IV takes it upon himself to be a ball hog and not share the ball with those studs. Cardale Jones did a great job of distributing the ball to those stud players vs Wisconsin, Alabama and Oregon. Thank you Cardale for winning the National Championship. Dwayne Haskins did a great job of distributing the ball to those stud players vs Michigan when JT Barrett IV put OSU in a hole by ball hogging. Thank you Dwayne. JT Barrett IV needs to learn how to share the ball

FAKE STATS.
FACT Ohio State has 41 wins when JT is the starting QB. Since 2014 Ohio State has 9 wins when other QBs have been the starter.
FACTS Cardale was the starting QB on the 3 game run to a National Title. ONE player out of a TEAM of 150 players, coaches and staff. Cardale was on a shot leash. 75% of the plays in the playbook were eliminated with him at QB. Cardale completed 60% of his passes. Zeke gained over 250yds/game and Devin Smith caught all of the long jump balls thrown.
FACTS Cardale comes back for his Senior year,.Started and won the first 6 games of the season against the sisters of the poor VT, Hawaii, Northern, Illinois, Western Michigan, Indiana and Maryland, but was not the same QB without Devin Smith. His QB rating was 77th in the country. Lost his job to JT who finished the season as the #18 ranked QB in the country.

And it is absolutely true about Guyton. FACT Your thoughts are worthless on this matter. You don't even know how to spell his name, but I won't hold it over your head after this post . FACT Urban might have said that about GUITON when he was immature in his early years at Ohio State. However, it is absolutely true what Urban said about GUITON when he was an upperclassman, when he matured, when he became a grown man. It is a FACT that he repeated his admiration for Kenny G in a press conference this week. You really should keep up on current events. It is absolutely true that there is a picture of him hanging on a wall in The Woedy. Urban also told GUITON after his Senior season that he'd make a great coach and had a job for him anytime he wanted it. GUITON is currently the WR coach at Houston U, in his hometown.

I listen to Urban's show to boss, you're not breaking the Navajo code here by telling me Guyton used to line up behind Braxton and get EXTREME MENTAL REPS. Red herring lolz. No, pointing out that you are a liar. Using something said IF TRUE to motivate Guyton[sic] to mature, to become a better player, to become a grown man, to help the team. To prepare like a backup should. As he does with MANY immature players. Like he has done with immature Haskins. It is 100% a FACT Urban loved the way Guyton[sic] ultimately prepared when he matured, when he became a grown man, when he became a better player. It is 100% TRUE that Guyton's[sic] picture hangs on the wall in The Woody. It is 100% TRUE that Urban said Guyton[sic] is a great kid from a great family, the son of a coach. It is 100% TRUE that Urban said Guyton[sic] would make a great coach and told him he had a job for him if he ever wanted one. You're not paying attention or LYING again. If you could read you would see that I referenced "Urban's press conference". Said NOTHING about "Urban's show". Which is mostly stupid fans asking stupid questions. At PRESS CONFERENCES, more pertinent, intelligent and pressing questions are asked by the Ohio State football press corps. What is weak is your lack of knowledge put down of Urban on the way he pushes immature players to become a better teammate. Which is obvious to the knowledgeable Ohio State football world, outside of you. LOLOLOLOLOLOL YES, YES YES, you got it!! Urban says Guyton's[sic] "EXTREME MENTAL REPS" are exactly how he became a great backup and made one of the most historic comebacks in Ohio State history and then went on to roll Cal the following week. He said ALL of this AGAIN this week about Guyton[sic] in his a PRESS CONFERENCE, not his call in show which happens later in the week. Do the research, don't bloviate, become learned.

As the one presenting them, you must prove them in order to be believable. Otherwise, it's just confabulation. And that's a FACT. THE most factual statement every made on NCOAST directed at the right person.
