I was told that Broc baldrige (6' 8" and leading Willard in scoring) did not play tonight against oak harbor was benched for the game and then quit after the game? Is there any truth to this. I'm a Willard guy but didn't make the trip to oak harbor because I knew it was gonna be bad either way but obviously worse if broc didn't play It had to be for discipline issues, cannot see Broc not playing for any other reason. Heard that Terry Baldridge did not start either but did play. You’ll know tonight whether or not Broc is still on the team, Norwalk is up next.

The Tigers have been incredibly disappointing this year. Aside from Hurst and Wennes when he gets in (I believe he is on a minutes restriction still), every single player on this team looks scared with the ball in their hands. This is the least aggressive, most timid Tigers team I can remember. They rely 100% on the 3 ball, and rarely get any easy lay ups. I feel bad for Bobby and as there is not much he can do with a group like this. I also feel bad for Hurst. He has to feel completely helpless out there on his own. Completely different than what I expected. It is early. Still time to turn it around.
Still,
Go Tigers

^^^ School must be cancelled at Huron, for today. Must be too cold outside, to go from a warm vehicle, Then have to walk into a warm building.

Maybe over the holidays they were able to work out some of the problems and maybe it will be smooth sailing from here. I hope so cause I liked your coach, he's a good man.

Those with years of experience in evaluating high school talent. Watching dozens of teams, their players and coaches.

Does that mean the roster has changed? For all we know the kid could have been sick or the coach was trying to motivate kids to play harder. There is nothing wrong with changing up the lineup for motivational purposes, it is what gets kids to work harder if they know there is an opportunity to start and it could help "starters" refocus their efforts.

Who did they lose for grades and who quit? Attitudes can be adjusted with the correct mental approach with these players. Not sure that anyone quit and haven't heard anyone not playing because of grades.

Any updates on the Baldridge situation? I'd hate to see Willard lose either one of them.

Glad to hear the Baldridge kid played. Coach Haas used to say "sometimes you get kids on the team who need basketball more than basketball needs them". The kid had a brother who was tough in HS on the hardwood. Went out for football as a TE and was offered a full ride from Akron during the summer after seeing him in a 7 on 7. I believe he played a few games and then his life fell apart and went down a dark rode than didn't end well. Hope the light stays on for Brock and he sticks with it.

Well, we need everyone we can get right now. Watching the game from the stands last night, this team is getting better and more confident. Vermillion was blindsided a little bit last night. I think Vermillion thought that Willard would come in and just lay down for them. As for Broc, good kid with tons of passion and a "player." The Slone kid playing freshman and JV is a sleeper. He looks to score and can be a rebounding machine at times. I could see him playing some varsity at tournament time. Tourney time will be fun, they should make a good run and they will surprise teams.

They’ll be lucky if they win one game bud. And the Slone kid won’t be getting any varsity time for tournaments.
