ESPN already trying to sway public opinion for Alabama. ESPN listed Alabama as having a tougher SOS than Ohio State. lol
SOS from Sagarin 28th Ohio State 56th Alabama
SOS from Sagarin's Combo ratings 13th Ohio State 61st Alabama
ESPN SOS rank - where did they get this? 50th Ohio State 46th Alabama
1 Clemson 2 Oklahoma 3 Georgia 4 ?
The 4th spot is now down to Ohio State, USC and Alabama.

OSU with their less than stellar victory likely played Bama into the final 4. However, Fresno St's loss drops them from the top 25 so Bama takes a hit on that. Unfortunately, I can't make the argument that OSU can stay within 3 tds of those other 3 teams.

If the committee does not put Ohio State in, I don't think it would be all that bad. Is it better to get in, And look foolish on the national stage, and loose big to Clemson, Again ?, Which I think we would. Or not getting in, Playing in a lucrative ($) bowl game, And likely winning,

Haskins plays, OSU can win it all. But he won't. We saw that yesterday. No matter how bad JT looks, so long as he is still breathing Urban won't replace him.

Looking at the number of times one or more of the committee's top four has been knocked off in recent weeks, there is no reason to trust that they will get it right this week either. That is why an EIGHT TEAM PLAYOFF is needed. There are three weekends between now and New Year's weekend that the first round could be played. OSU and USC both deserve a shot, probably neither will get it.

USC? Have they even played a top 10 team this year?

Whatever happens we'll be seeing a first in the CFP this year, either the the first 2 loss team to get in or the first conference to get 2 teams in.

I could be wrong, but I think I remember them saying on one of the post game shows last night that their SOS was better than OSU or ALA. And they are a power 5 Champion.

They use terms like 'eye test' yet their top 4 continuously get beat, their 'eye test' isn't very trustworthy. CFB has a chance to make Conference Championships very important again and they could do it with a 6 team playoff. 5 Power Five Conference Champs, plus the top non-Power Five Conference Champ 1 Clemson bye 2 Oklahoma bye 3 Georgia vs 6 Central Florida 4 Ohio State vs 5 Southern Cal The AAC is going to put out some decent teams on a yearly basis. Memphis, South Florida and UCF this year. South Florida was pretty good last year too. Boise State has some decent teams on a yearly basis so the best non-Power Five champ will be a pretty decent representative. Top 2 teams get the bye. The #3 team gets the non-Power Five. Central Florida just went undefeated and are considered a FBS school, yet aren't even allowed to sniff the playoff.

fwiw,,,,a guy on rivals---"nevadabuck"---- who is pretty connected in the arena of inside info and what not nationally has his friends in Vegas telling him they think OSU is in. That being said,,,a case can be made for OSU and against OSU. I think everyone knows that. We'll find out in about 3 1/2 hours. I'm good either way. We won the conference and beat our top 3 rivals. We also improved as the year went on and found a way to win at least 3 we were on the verge of losing, all in all I'm satisfied with the season.

After halftime adjustments by whiskey, Barrett iv and his offense seemed like they didn't do much in the 2nd half. After the game, Barrett iv looked surprised he didn't get the MVP award. I thought that defensive guy (Wisconsin), That returned the blocked punt for a TD, and caused & recovered the fumble, should have got the award.

Heather Dinich has the Buckeyes in. She has the best feel of the room. She had it right last year when everyone was questioning if OSU would get in and she said it wasn’t even an argument. She was right, the Bucks were seeded 3rd.

Yea, and don't think Fan Base $$$ aren't considered, even though they shouldn't be. Another reason for an 8 team playoff.

Rambo,,you have a good feel for this situation. What would be your % guess OSU is in? I think there is a 65% chance Ohio State gets in They can argue Ohio State has 3 wins better than Alabama's best and 2 wins over Top 10 teams, plus a Conference Championship They can argue Ohio State got blown out twice and blown out by 31 to a 5 loss team so their 'eye test' said Alabama was clearly a better team.

Some more numbers to digest 3 of the 6 computer rankings used in the old BCS are out to give you a feel of the computers Sagarin in an above post of mine Massey below Wolfe below waiting on Billingsley, Colley Matrix, and Anderson Hester Under the BCS each teams best and worst rating was thrown out and the ratings left were averaged Massey1 Clemson 2 Georgia 3 Oklahoma 4 Ohio State 5 Wisconsin 6 Alabama 7 Penn State 8 Auburn 9 Notre Dame 10 Central Florida . 13 USC Wolfe1 Central Florida 2 Georgia 3 Clemson 4 Oklahoma 5 Ohio State 6 Alabama 7 Southern Cal 8 Wisconsin 9 Auburn 10 Penn State www.masseyratings.com/cf/compare.htmConference Ratings of all computers averaged1 ACC 2 Big Ten 3 SEC 4 Pac 12 5 Big 12 6 AAC Is the Committee really going to choose 2 teams from the 3rd rated Conference? Is this the year to choose 2 SEC teams?

Comparison of FoxSports which has ties to the Big Ten vs eSECpn which has ties to the SEC FoxSports 3 analysts picked Ohio State, 0 picked Alabama If you throw in Joe Klatt who wasn't on the show, but going by his comments before yesterday's games. 4-0 for Ohio State. You go by computer averages 5-0 Ohio State
You go to eSECpn then it's 2 SEC teams in a year the SEC ranks as the 3rd best conference.

I like us being 5th. We can complain about being left out. Not get embarrassed in a game against the #1 and go to a big bowl game to take our frustrations out on an opponent we can beat.

I'd like OSU to make the playoff, but I can't really complain if OSU is left out because of 55-24. Whoever is #4 is NOT going to win the NC, UNLESS OSU gets #4 and goes with Haskins over Barrett.
