7:00 PM Friday 12/15 on ESPN-U
This will be the 25th consecutive year that the Stagg Bowl has been played in Salem, Virginia (it moves to a different venue next year), and interestingly enough, that 25 season span lines up directly with Mount Union's dominance in Division III, as their first Stagg Bowl appearance was during Salem's first year hosting in 1993, and they are now making their 20th appearance and are looking for their 13th national title.
Both teams enter the game at 14-0, and Mary Hardin-Baylor (located in Belton, Texas) is the defending National Champion. In fact, Mary-Hardin Baylor is the team responsible for the last two times that Mount Union has failed to reach the Stagg Bowl, beating them 38-35 in the 2004 semis and 14-12 in the 2016 semis, bookending the Purple Raiders record 11 straight Stagg Bowl appearances from 2005 to 2015.

The Stagg Bowl has been played annually at Salem Football Stadium in Salem, Virginia since 1993. It was previously played at Garrett-Harrison Stadium in Phenix City, Alabama (1973–1982, 1985–1989), at Galbreath Field at the College Football Hall of Fame, when the Hall was located in Kings Island, Ohio (1983–1984), and at Hawkins Stadium in Bradenton, Florida (1990–1992).

Mount Union has won their 13th National Championship. They added a long TD on a nice catch and a safety to shut out Mary Hardin-Baylor 12-0.
