That’s a good win for Harding mt Vernon is a good team, Elisha played his best game of season. He started finally since he’s been injured he was hitting shots and getting rebounds. Had 17 points. The zone couldn’t be beat first half. This win could do things, or just be a hiccup. We’ll see.

Tightly officiated game. Which will get a lot of fouls called against Ontario's pressure defense. Ontario had 2 starters foul out and another not play the first half for disciplinary reasons. Highland made a high % of their free throws and 3-pointers. Ontario only made one 3-pointer before the last minute of the game. Highland played a match up zone in the 2nd half which slowed the game down and gave Ontario problems. JV game Ontario 65-19. Ontario starters did not play after the mid point of the 3rd quarter. Freshman Colton Kurts again led Ontario in scoring with 17, He made all 6 shots he took. Five 3-pointers and one 2-pointer. In 2 1/2 quarters. Ontario won the Freshman game 33-24. With Highland's basketball tradition I found it strange that they only had a total of 22 players on the 3 squads.

Cade Stover with a monster game. I heard 27 points and 23 rebounds. Ontario's leading scorer was their Freshman guard Griffin Shaver. He had 12 points in the first half. Lex made a concerted effort to hold him to 1 point in the 2nd half.

Lexington-72 Ontario-48 F Ontario a poor all around 2nd half. Poor 2nd half or a very good 1st half as it seemed to have evened out for a typical game for this year's Ontario team? The were averaging 48 a game before tonight and had 34 at the break but still managed their 48.

First half is what they are capable of. 14 points after 34 is poor. Johnston for lex was pretty much unguarded.

Announcers made it sound like almost half of Ontario's point in the first half were free throws.

If the first half of that game(34pts) is what Ontario is capable of, and 15 of them was from the foul line. Would you expect them to score 30 from the foul line every game to play at their potential?

I did not say that. Though they did miss like 14 FTs for the game. They were pretty cold from the floor. The kid can shoot ,but he is not quicker than any Ontario kid. He was wide open on those 3's.

Tv announcers had them averaging about 45 points a game so it wouldn't appear they had many hot nights from the floor. "The kid can shoot ,but he is not quicker than any Ontario kid. He was wide open on those 3's." So what you are saying is the Ontario quickness was a non factor on the defensive end.

If you are not guarding your man, I would say your quickness was not applied.

Ontario CHOSE not to guard a kid so they could get BEAT by 24 points. Thanks for clearing it up. Most would think that your coach would have SUGGESTED they guard him.

Lol. Sarcasm.
Your first post did not mention your coach's lack of instruction. I assume that was an oversight on your part. Let's just agree that the "unguarded" kid and his team mates are happy with the Ontario player's choice.

Dude, Dude relax. These kids read these sites. They got together before the game and said let's do something in this game that will set Dude off and he can post weeks after the game is over.

Read again. mrsteel is the one claiming the kids made the choice to not do something. I am finding it funny reading his excuse.
