Ok you also watched Barrett for 5 years and the passing just wasn't there yet. Not real concerned. I've seen SRs go out there and stink. I'll take talent.

I think he won every conceivable award in the B1G and owns most passing records. He passed for 3,059 yards last year. Yes, the passing was there.

Of the 3,000 yds passing that is being celebrated, how many came from a pass longer than 15 yds down field.? Not taking anything away fro JT, just putting it into perspective.

I could see the coaches, if an injury happens, simplifying the playbook for Martell like they did with JT.

You dug up a pretty good article...thanks I have yet to read any remarks from Urban concerning grad transfers and 11 Warriors has been hinting more and more, we may see some action along those lines, sooner than later. Baldwin is still fresh out of H.S. and learning the basics. We do have another redshirt sophomore QB, I believe his first name is Kurt something or other......perhaps a walk-on? practice squad or dire emergency. I'm not aware of anyone 'celebrating' J.T.'s 3,053 passing yards, it is what it is. His 64.7 completion percentage is what it is. His 35 TD's is what it is. Some, have simply chosen to dislike him for whatever reason and that's OK with me....it is what it is.

The exact same playbook was used by Braxton and JT. Urban's playbook was significantly simplified for Cardale and has to be "simplified" for Haskins.

Let's all hope he develops into the player we all hope he can be. We have no reason to doubt it. Maybe he thinks Urban is bad at developing talent, and won't make highly rated QB's any better.

Let me further explain: We all envision Martell becoming the college version of Johnny Manzell "Let's all hope he develops into the player we all hope he can be".

I sure as hell hope Martell does not become Manzell.

I sure as hell hope Martell does not become Manzell. LOL.......we can all agree on that. Two entirely different people with different personality make-ups. Martell has it together, that's why I specifically mentioned 'college version' of Manzell in reference to his on field abilities and exploits. Off field, two totally different human beings. If he was a head case like Johnny M, Urban would not have him on his team.

Urban had Aaron Hernandez on his team bro. Very true, but I'm not aware the craziness emerged at that stage in his life. Haven't read the Aaron Hernandez Story yet, nor do I plan to anytime soon.

He was just involved in a bar fight in Gainsville before his freshman year and may or may not of been involved in a shooting. Wasn’t charged in either incident

Urban had Aaron Hernandez on his team bro. Sis, how may total players has Urban had on all of his teams? Has there been anyone close to an Aaron Hernandez since he was been at Ohio State? Are you aware that Urban's contracts at Ohio State say that he must recruit players with higher academic standards and diligently research the backgrounds of high school players so as not to have a Hernandez at Ohio State? There have been many players Urban would have like to offer, but they did not meet the standards enumerated in his contract.

I also think that it's safe to say that Zeke was no saint while he was here. I also could have sworn that your golden boy JT got popped for an infraction as well.

We all know J.T. was a good student/athlete, never a trouble maker, take for a night of poor decision, where he offered to drive a friend home from a party and got nabbed for over the limit violation. He paid his dues for that and beyond that, a man of good character. Please don't group him in with the likes of Maurice Clarett or even Zeke for that matter. Mo Clarett is not the norm at Ohio State, nor have we seen the likes of him since.

I wouldn't group JT in with Maurice or Zeke either, they both won National Titles.

As they should, but the guy on the sideline should be VERY thankful for a National Championship ring. Like JT was.

And that is why JT cannot be grouped with Zeke or Maurice.

And that is why JT cannot be grouped with Zeke or Maurice. And that is 'one of many reasons' JT cannot be grouped with Zeke or Maurice, but one cannot argue the fact, all three have prominent places in Ohio State football record books and that's where they will be forever grouped.

Yes, JT was a great stat guy. The stats are mere byproducts of a great collegiate career, most importantly, he won a hell of a lot of games for The Ohio State University.

Mo Clarett played for Tressel, not Urban. A question...how can you seriously compare Zeke and JT, who actually played for Urban, to a convicted murderer?? I'll ask you since Doc failed to answer. How many players has Urban recruited? You're going to have to do better than name less than 1% of his recruits for your postulate to hold any water. You're my "golden boy".
