Ruhlman has missed 3 games (1-2) and Bellevue is 7-6 when he has played. I only said that is why he mentioned the Ontario game.

This conversation was about seeding not if a team is better with their best player. Norwalk, Vermilion, Mansfield, Bellevue and Shelby(to name a few) have all played games without a player who is in their normal game rotation. Very little of this will change the seeding. In this district a 9 beating a 5 or a 6 beating a 3 may not be much of an upset. But a 8 beating a 2 or 1 will be. I think any of those could happen this year.

Ok, with the ballots all tallied and the seeds to be announced, here is my take on the seeding.
1. Vermilion - Still has the best overall record with 2 close losses to good D1 teams. 2. Senior - No losses vs teams in district. Beat Lex twice. 3. Lexington - Losses to Sr and Clyde, but everyone loses at Clyde. 4. Sandusky - 1st place in SBC - lake should count for something 5. Norwalk - Hottest team in SBC. 6. Clear Fork - On a roll, but skeptics say it's schedule is weak. 7. Clyde - Playing well but need to prove it away from home. 8. Shelby - Yoyo team back on a mini win streak. 9. Perkins - Can play with anyone when hot. 10. Bellevue - Best player back. Will definitely make them better 11. Ontario - Young team with best coach. 12. Galion - Locked in here 13. Columbian - Only because PC is in it. 14. Pt Clinton - Great place to visit! I recommend Rosie's or Clinton House.
On another note, an MRI revealed a torn ACL for Jornell Manns. He is scheduled for surgery Mar 1. Great young man! Speedy recovery.

FACT, Senior beat Lex twice. If they were 1-1 against each other I would favor Lex. FACT, I called Ontario "lowly Ontario". How is that "blinding love"?? FACT, I pointed out Bellevue's best player is healthy after being out several games. Even a dolt like you should be able to figure out that makes Bellevue a better team, than they've been of late. FACT, your ignorance is embarrassing for you. FACT, your blinding HATE permeates most of your posts. The question was has Mansfield played well enough top earn the top seed. Answer is yes. Nobody claimed your hated school should be seeded above them. Using "lowly Ontario" is only a kind way of saying they are bad, which you have no problem saying an other time. Trying to proclaim others ignorance over and over again must be very satisfying. And I provided the single biggest FACT why Senior should be considered for the top seed. Two wins over a good Lex team. If Lex and Senior had split their season series I would have favored Lex as a higher seed than Senior. Disproving you doltish claim of me hating something as silly as a school. Unlike those of your ilk, I save "hate" for the likes of Saddam Hussein, Osama bin Laden and child molesters from Penn State and Michigan State. See the difference? Providing FACTS is not satisfying, they're just of substance that leads to a conclusion.

Official seeding for the Madison District.
1. Vermilion 2. Senior 3. Lexington 4. Sandusky 5. Clear Fork 6. Norwalk 7. Clyde 8. Shelby 9. Perkins 10. Ontario 11. Bellevue 12. Galion 13. Columbian 14. Port Clinton
Let the games begin. Will someone jump on Vermilion or Senior early? Which way does Lex go? Sandusky pounds Perkins while Shelby nips Norwalk last night. Senior got revenge on Ashland big time and Lex beat Wooster. Clear Fork loses a tough game in OT. This district will be a lot of fun!

Bellevue gets a lower seed to Ontario after the Redmen just beat the Warriors on Balogh Court earlier this week.

Who cares? It matters not, between 10 and 11. Neither team is that strong.

Whether the one seed or not Lex should be the team to watch after downing D3 #2 OG. They were undefeated playing in the rough WBL a predominately D2 league. They have had success in both D2 & D3 over the years. Big win for the minutemen

Don't want sound like homer here but that was a great game Lex played. Lexington came out very focused and if they can play with that attitude they will be very tough to beat.

Guess nobody really wanted that bye? For most of the schools if they would of taken byes they would of went over a week without playing and some 2 weeks

Agree, but it's interesting to see how many teams passed on the bye.

Wish Willard wasn't such a pain to drive to from V-town especially this time of year. Then the district in Mansfield area somewhere I guess if the sailors make it that far

Willard is better than driving to bucyrus, just saying.

Agree, but it's interesting to see how many teams passed on the bye. Not if you notice who you would have to play if you took the bye. After the #1 and #2 seeds chose not to take the bye, both placed themselves on the line next to the bye.

Willard is better than driving to bucyrus, just saying. Not if you're in the Southern part of the District. Get on Route 30 and it's 4 lane 70 MPH all the way to Bucyrus. It it's snowing it's the first concrete to get plowed and salted.

Vermilion isn't in the southern part of the county is it? Hence the reason for my comment.

I guess I got spoiled in the old days when Vermilion would play at Westlake high or North Ridgeville and maybe even have the first game at home. Would have to play Bay or Holy name though

Wow! Hats off to Lex! That's quite an accomplishment knocking off OG. I see OG has top ten Elida and Wapak (who beat Elida) left on their schedule. That is quite a sectional they're in. Should be a fun tourney.

Would have to play Bay or Holy name though I realize it's route 2/90 to Westlake but it's only about 8 miles further to Willard from Vermilion than Vermilion to Westlake. With all due respect, I'm not sure Vermilion will ever be happy where they are. The discontent with pretty much anything is continuous. It appears to be the undercurrent to decades of instability.

Should be a fun tourney. OG is D3 this year, so they aren’t with Elida and Wapakoneta. The Titans should walk to regionals

It's not just the miles, its a more time consuming drive, no easy route, several stops and road changes etc. mostly 2 lane roads that sort of thing. As far as discontent goes I don't know, the SBC seems like a pretty good fit. More so than the WSC they use to be in. I'm sure the SBC will change/evolve over time like everything else

First round trouble games as I see them. Clyde-Ontario has potential of a very good game. Give the edge to Clyde. Vermilion-Bellvue if the Redman start playing better now that they are all back from injury could be the biggest upset in the bracket. Norwalk-Perkins will be tricky. Any time teams play 3 times it has the potential for a sway either way. Perkins takes it i think. Top seeds win big in other matchups.

Bigox, The Clyde-Ontario does have a potential to be a most memorable game in awhile at the sectionals to where that I can not pick who would win this game. I think even if Bellevue gets all their players back and healthy they, I feel, would not help them beat Vermilion. They are just to strong for them. The Norwalk-Perkins game, and I'm going to be open minded on this, but I think that Norwalk is on a roll and Perkins has been more down than up. I will be picking Norwalk.

Hoss, agree. OG has Wapak then Elida left then they go to tourneys. Have no idea who they play in their sectional but in D3 they should walk through that. Sort of mixed up my sentence structure when still referencing Lex. That should be an exciting district!
