I was there, Wow what an epic game. Couldn't post upates, don't have internet on my flip phone, It is a dumb phone. Huron gave away more chances to win it, Than Margaretta. Was an instant classic Bogart Road bowl.

Only team to give a game away last night was the Rockets... 22-5 and you let a team come back from that. Ugh... Second game even with blown chances in each set of overtime was one of the best competed games I've watched in years.

Looks like whomever wins today, Between Carey or Margaretta, Plays the African College next,or whatever it's called. Huron makes 3 of 14 missed FT's they would've won. The other things that standout to me, In the Huron/Marg. game, In 3 different OT's, Huron had 3 possessions for the last shot, Never got a shot off, Too busy passing it around and turning it over as time expires. Huron had wide open lanes for an easy layups, run up there and pass it back ? Huron did not lose cause of the officiating, But advantage Marg., the old guy bailed them out on a few occasions. BCSN was there, Hope they show it sometime this year.

Man how often doesn't poor FT shooting haunt teams. Seems like it's every level HS College and even Pro. If I was a coach I'd put incredible emphasis starting with even the youth programs at getting into becoming a good FT team. Whether it's watching film of good FT shooters or even reaching out to coaches who seem to know the secret to it.

Whether it's watching film of good FT shooters or even reaching out to coaches who seem to know the secret to it. That's what the vast majority do. BUT...there are MANY fundamentals that are worked on during practices. Running offenses over and over and over, Defensive game planning. Film study and scouting reports to go over. I know a First Team All-Ohio player that went home after every practice and shot 100 free throws in his driveway, regardless of the time or weather. Ontario's Freshman starter this year made 90% of his free throws as an 8th grader. Those things don't just happen by accident. it takes hours and hours of work on your own time. Not many have that kind of desire or drive. JMHO

Congrats to the Carey Blue Devils for winning this district. From fourth place in a SO bad league to besting the SBC Bay to get it. Although next game is going to be a BIG challenge ( would be for most any team in N.C. Ohio)

Ottawa Glandorf sure looked good against Coldwater, I expect the Titans to knock off the African Early College in the Regional final. However, OG will need to get by Archbold 1st, That 8 PM game in Bowling green should be a good one to see. In the 6:15 game, I think Carey gets running clocked by A.E.C.

Although next game is going to be a BIG challenge ( would be for most any team in N.C. Ohio) I stick by what I said when you lose 5 teams from a 9 team league before a sectional title is decided and your Champ to a below .500 team that speaks to the overall quality of a league IMO. Basically the top 4 teams especially the top couple start the season at 10-0 (playing the above 2x) going into the tournament I fully believed Upper would win this poor Norwalk District so Carey winning is not that big of a surprise just a down year in D3 (area) imo...

So if it’s >50% it’s a good league? Having 2 schools in the regionals means nothing?

Winning a district means you are one of 64 schools still playing this week. Doesn’t matter if you come from a stacked district or a weak one. Would you rather be Carey or Sandusky this week? Would you rather be Mohawk or Ontario this week? All this the N-10 conference is weak is straight crap. The N-10 is a D3 and D4 league that has a D3 and D4 school’s playing in the regionals. I live on facts, not opinions like you and Fillmore

Your statement should come with a mirror... the stat you say is very similar to the Lake Division of the SBC. 5/9 N10 before sectional only 1 Lake team made it past sectionals...

L answer your questions once at a time...
NWOAL - Typically strong D3 league not much success in D2 however it is an 8 team league not 9 like the N10 do not comparable other than both are top heavy leagues
As for the SBC Lake it was far from a banner year however unlike the N10 it was very competitive other than TC FAR from the N10...
Not sure what you want me to say it was a banner year for the N10??? When 5 of the 9 teams are Poor and your champ is bounced by a below .500 team not to this point IMO
If Carey or Mohawk makes some noise in regionals maybe I’ll feel differently

Would have like to see Polar Bears get Carey on a normal rest instead of playing 2 full games two nights prior. So is life of the Hs tournament but neck and neck for 3 quarters.

I just saw a post where this Is Carey’s first ever trip to regionals as well as Mohawks maybe adding D2/D3 Upper is helping these prgrams😊

Africentric 25 Carey 15, End of 1 Africentric 37 Carey 21, Halftime. Africentric 51 Caret 26, End of 3rd. Final: African Early Coll. 62 Carey 40, Result would've been the same, no matter who played them from the Norwalk district.

I'm guessing Ox and Hoss are Upper fans. They are going to defend the N10 because it's what they hang their hat on, winning a small school league. They can't hang it on tournament success like Carey and Mohawk, which congrats to both those teams.

You also don’t break the rules by controlling enrollment, recruiting, or cheat eligibility standards. Congratulations to the Nubians, I guess

And since they are a part of the Columbus school system the competitive balance rules will never touch them.
