Looks like they would still have 2 conf games left so if they beat Pl would clinch at least a tie but will win league after next league game

Bellevue-64 Ontario-59 Final Ontario loses another close one. Down by 9 came back and led by 1 in the 4th. Then shot selection and turnovers raised their ugly head down the stretch. Freshman Griffin Shaver led Ontario in scoring again with 15. His ninth game in a raw in doubled figures Bellevue won the JV game 56-33 after being down 15-3 after the 1st quarter. Ontario won the Freshman game 49-39.

I was at the Ontario - Galion game. Not much to report. Galion lost B I G A G A I N. Dismal performance, at best, by the Tigers.

Ontario 2nd and 3rd string played most of 4th quarter. Galion didn't press the entire game until Ontario's last 5 was on the floor and Galion's starters were still in the game. Full court pressure by Ontario created a lot of turnovers. Ontario's Freshman and 3 Sophomores are now playing better than the 2 Seniors and 2 Juniors. Sitting behind the Galion bench i noticed their head coach was mostly a spectator. The only time I remember seeing off his chair for an extended period was when he asked a referee several times, "Is that a new rule?" JVs Ontario 63, Galion 39.

BV beats NU 52-49 on a 3 with :04 left The BV kid was hitting them all night. Interesting ploy deciding not to defend him for the wide open 3.

Ontario's 2 Seniors and 2 Juniors combines for 10 points. The Freshman and 3 Sophomores scored 43. 6-4 Soph guard Logan Houle took over in the 4th quarter scoring on just about every imaginable drive, spin move, reverse layups and floaters at the rim. He even played the point some tonight and led in scoring with 17. After sitting out the first 11 games, he's becoming more comfortable and now might be the best player on the team. Ontario's best line up is when their Junior starting PG is on the bench and the Freshman is playing the point. With their 6-7 Senior post and 3 Sophomore guards 6-4, 6-4 and 6-2. The best ball handlers, best rebounders, best at finishing at the basket, best 3 point shooters and good defenders even against smaller players. They still make plenty of young player mistakes, but play as a team, not worrying about who scores. Ontario lost the lead for the first time in the 4th quarter, but scored on a couple of fast break baskets and Houle drives and had regained momentum. A Christian player scored a basket, cutting the lead to 4. Ontario quickly took the ball out of bounds in hopes of beating MC down the floor when the MC coach walks out on the floor takes the ball from an Ontario player and handed it to a MC player and the PA announcer tells everyone it was his 1000th point. There's a little ceremony, Ontario's momentum was halted and Joe was not happy. THEN the officials give a 30 second time out on their own, not charged to MC, so they can reorganize after the ceremony. Ontario JVs win 67-39, 2nd 5 plays entire 4th quarter. Freshman Colton Kurtz with another 20+ point game, in 3 quarters of play

Willard, What are the rules on this situation if a player scored his 1000 points. Should the scorekeeper have hit the buzzer right away to halt the play or what. I think also the MC coach should have let the Officials and Coach B. know before the game that they have a player approaching his 1000 pts. and they would stop the game for a brief ceremony not just walk out and grab the ball that is coming down the court on a play. I think for that he should have been given a T. What do you think.

"Mansfield Christian". That explains it, GOD told the coach to intercept the ball.
