BTW as of right now we are 0-23 against teams with winning records the last 2 years. That will likely be 0-24 after the Lexington game. But when we beat Crestline tomorrow that will give us 9 wins this year and that will probably be enough for our administration to think he's a good coach. They won't pay attention that all of those wins are against teams with losing records. Those wins have come against teams with these records: 2 against RV (4-15), 1 vs BC (5-13), 1 against Bucyrus (2-16), 1 against Cardinton (2-18), 1 against BV (7-14), and our 2 best wins have come against NU (10-10). Even the NU fan in this thread said that their only wins are coming against bad teams too.

lol, I figured we wouldn't lose 2 in a row to them.... I was wrong. They're a lot like us, decent starting 5 but no depth'

CR 63 GT 57 Final Crestline- Triplett 19pts, 20 reb, 4 blks Galion- Alsip 28pts, 3 reb, 2 ast Galion finishes regular season 8-14, losing to Crestline for second consecutive year to end the regular season. Please excuse me while I step outside and throw-up into one of our trash cans. I know that it was back in the middle 1970's when "Crestline" lost 30+ consecutive games (or maybe it was 40+). That's the "Crestline" that I remember. I remember when, simultaneously, Galion won the NOL. I was dating a girl from Crestline back then (with blonde hair and blue eyes) and went to one of those losing streak games (in mid January of 1975). It was back when their High School that they just moved out of was brand new.......so it was quite a while ago. So, of course I wore my Varsity G Jacket and, of course I got quite a few stares. I stayed the entire game, having a blast and talking with her girl friends, who were admiring the jacket. I was all smiles............and, in my emotional back pocket, I knew that if my High School (that year) ever had to play her High School in basketball; well, it would not have been pretty. I know.........times change, but nobody says that we have to like it.

Ontario-55 Shelby-52 Final Shelby misses last second 3 attempt. Ontario finally hits some free throws when it counted. 15-25 from the line for the game. I was surprised which Shelby player was set up to shoot the 3 pointer, maybe it was thought the 4th best outside shooter would be the most likely to be open. Ontario's 6-7 post was right there with his arms and hands in his face. They only missed 2 free throws in the 4th quarter when the Freshman and Sophomores were the ones at the line. How often does a coach set up in bounds plays at the end of games to get his Freshman the ball, so he's the one who gets fouled? This Freshman made 90% of his free throws last year as an 8th grader. Shelby's PG, a Senior 4 year starter was hounded full court by Ontario's PG. Keeping him from getting their offense started where they were used to. I don't know if it was Ontario's increased on ball pressure that changed things, but Shelby was killing Ontario in the post early in the game. That changed as the game went on. Soph Logan Houle led Ontario in scoring again, the only Ontario player to make a 3-pointer, they were 2 of 8 as a team. I think Shelby made something like 8. The win guarantees this will NOT be the 4th losing season in Balogh's 33 years.

Good luck to Galion at Crestline tonight. Another strong challenge that will surely make them better. That's BS and typical of the biggest put down artist on this site.

Thanks for the detective work ! I had graduated and gone into the service by the time that the Bulldogs won another game, so I kind of lost track; not that I was going to keep track. Oh, and I really enjoy your site, too ! An absolute "must" for a basketball fan in this area ! Well done ! !
