Actually most of the conferences west of 75 only play each other once for league games. NWOAL only has 8 schools yet doesn’t do a round-robin. I'm still not used to that. To me, it seems a bit strange that schools here don't play round robin. The Green Meadows Conference has eight teams, so they play seven conference games and 15 non-conference games. The Northwest Conference has nine teams, plays 8 conference games and 14 non-conference games. When I explain how everyone back home plays round robin, they look at me like I've lost my mind...

I think I like non-double round-robin better. Puts more value on the league games. On the flip side that’s a lot of non-conference games to find. Quite a few just play each other just end up playing each other in holiday tournaments

stick to video taping. Madison, Senior and Lex would go to the Lake. Oak Harbor can duck playing them like they do everyone else in football and basketball. Bellevue would be the team to move to the Bay based on enrollment, with Perkins a close 2nd. It doesn't matter who is moved to the Bay from the Lake, the vast majority in the Bay will not be happy. Several were promised in the beginning they'd never have to play them again. From what I understand there were no promises made at the beginning of not having to play schools that are bigger than you. The promise that was made was the league was going to try to get to 3 divisions of 8 for football and that was going to mean schools would possibly have to move up or down depending on the size of the incoming school. I agree that there are some schools in the middle that would not be happy if a Bellevue or Perkins were added to the mix, but, they all knew going in that it was possible. As for the smalls or Pee Wee division as someone so eloquently called them it seems to me they are the ones who have adapted to the additions and yes I am sure that they as well are getting tired of always being the ones to adapt. However, with that said, yes one of them will have to move up beginning in 2019-2020 school year with the addition of Hopewell in order to stay with the concept of the league and by numbers I believe that it Willard who essentially replaces Shelby. I also understand that some of the Bay division schools have had to adapt to the additions as well as they were scheduled to play some River schools in football and now that is not possible in the weeks they were scheduled. I don't want to be chastised for saying it's only the River division that is making concessions as all schools involved do have to concede something. Along with this with the current numbers in the league you would need to find a 4th to bring into the mix. If I've done my math correctly adding three would leave one of the two top divisions with 7 football playing schools and that would be a nightmare for that division finding a game in weeks 4-10 as most of the teams that would be filling that void will now be in the league. I know this is in the basketball forum but as has been said the cog that drives it is football.

They could play an OCC-SBC Lake challenge on the conference bye weeks since both leagues would be at 7. Beats playing a bad Cleveland or Columbus team.

BB, I think he was seeing someone on here said that Mansfield Madison is almost in the SBC Lake Division since it's been inquired that they were looking. But I think that if Mt. Vernon is thinking about going back to the Columbus area to play that would make the OCC-SBC matchup more likely since they would have 6 teams and we have 6 teams. We can do that for weeks of 4 & 5 then.
