Perkins now plays Rogers. They had one "miracle" but won't get another. Bellevue, Norwalk and Perkins could put an all-star team together that still wouldn't beat Rogers this season.

Norwalk opened the game on run that was either 9-0 or 9-2 while Bellevue started off cold from the field and was also having trouble with ball control (dropped passes, missed rebound opportunities etc.) Bellevue came back to tie it at 15 early in the 2nd and Norwalk immediately went on a quick 5-0 run to go up 20-15. After that, Bellevue went on a 27-0 run, which was 10-0 to end the half and 17-0 to start the 3rd....it was 42-20 before Norwalk scored again. The lead stayed in the 18-21 point range for most of the rest of the game, but then Norwalk cut it down to as low as 12 late in the 4th after Bellevue turned the ball over several times in a row.
Casey Santoro ended with 26, and was the one who got the big run started with several consecutive driving layups. Cory Santoro only had 1 point in the first half but finished with 13, and Vogel also scored 13 points and had a couple nice steals to keep Bellevue in control when Norwalk was making their final push.

So does Bellevue have much of a chance against Rogers? Any common opponents besides Perkins? Bellevue 78-40 and 78-36 against Perkins and Rogers 63-36. That gives me some hope. It looks like Rogers start 6-2, 6-1 and then 3 guards that are 5-7, 5-9 and 5-11. Zia Cooke apparently has offers/interest from Ohio State as a junior. Madison Royal-Davis was one of the highest ranked 8th graders in the state/Midwest and she's a freshman. Anyway, I hope it's a good game Friday. Bellevue's scrappy and I thought they played really well as a team on Tuesday.
