From what is being reported in Crestline, this makes no sense. I think Lisle is right that it's just BOE members with personal vendettas. Two board members have kids on the team and one member's relative is the coach that was demoted. She voted last year to non renew his contract. The other two members just joined this year, so it seems like they now have the votes to non renew his contract. This article is from October 2016 and this was probably when it all started. crawfordcountynow.com/local/coaching-changes-at-crestline-bring-accusations/

I heard the names of the applicants. There's about 7 or 8. I only recognized a couple of the names. Some Varsity experience but not much.

Does it surprise anyone that Crestline has only 7-8 applicants for the job? it seems every job gets 8-10 applicants who are dads, AAU coaches or out of state guys that apply for anything just to get a start. So I wonder if there is limited varsity experience in the names you heard, does that mean most are dads and AAU coaches?

From the names I recognized there is one with almost 10 years of Varsity Boys experience and also some Varsity Girls experience. The other names I recognized had no Varsity Head Coach experience but some as assistants. I researched some of the other names and one just coached 1 year of Varsity Basketball and another was a Freshmen assistant at a school in the Columbus area. I could not find any information on the other couple coaches. I don't know if any of the applicants are dads. Why would a dad apply if they have only coached their son in youth sports though? What school would hire somebody like that?

Doesn’t sound like a Dad will be getting the Crestline job.

If it is the guy I have been told, I would say the jury is out on that ruling. A lot of playing experience but limited coaching at the varsity level.

Have the Crestview and Seneca East positions been filled? Heard that Crestview would be hiring an assistant coach from Olmsted Falls but haven't seen anything official.

Jason Engel was 35-36 in 3 seasons at Wynford. If the change was happening because of his results, wouldn't it have made sense to do this in March or April?

If it's because of results then that's definitely when they should do it. Most schools probably know before the season's over if they're going to renew a contract or not. I didn't post his record to justify their decision, I posted it because it seemed like a respectable record. Wynford was 30-41 the 3 seasons before they hired him.

Chris Long is the new head coach at Seneca East. I didn't even realize the Seneca East job was open. What happened with Aichholz?
