I know its early but most teams start back with basketball in June with shootouts and camps. Some thoughts on the firelands conf for next season?
SC and Western both bring alot back after splitting the title and both jr high teams playing each other in the championship
St Paul loses some important seniors but have two good freshman guards that will be sophomores
Plymouth loses a couple role players but the Adams kid back is big
New London Has Howell back and a couple other role players
Crestview is losing some seniors especially big men but have some guards back
Mapleton losing most of what they had last year
Monroeville will have a new head coach and return a couple starters but not real sure

Bigboy, You pretty much have the order right I think, but some I see might change positions around a bit. 1) & 2) will be battle for between SC and WR. 3) I might put Plymouth there with 4) New London right behind, maybe even switching them around. 5) St. Paul's. I put them there because I think they would be light on senior leadership. 6) Crestview, the reason I put them there is because they do have some varsity experience coming back not much but some. 7) Mapleton, they are just a little better than Monroeville. 8) And that puts Monroeville as last, though I wish they would come back and play like their glory days of the 70's championship team. I hope the fans and admins. give their new coach a chance to proof himself. Well that's how I see the conference for next year.

St. Paul has the talent to contend with most teams if used properly. I know some people question their Senior talent/leadership but here is my thoughts. This group of Seniors had a lot of success coming up and some players decided on not playing throughout their high school years. However I see a possible resurgence for this group. Here is a list of possible varsity players:
Griffin- Sr 6-6”- best shooter on the team, could have a huge year Kashian #1- Sr 6-2”- good shooter, creative player Kashian #2- Sr 6-3”- big man underneath, skilled low post Smith-Sr 5-11”- hustles and knows the game Hammersmith Sr 6-4”- good shooter, can handle the ball Avedano-Sr 5-7”- plays hard every minute Good-Sr 6-1”- will be used as a shut down defender, can take anyone off the dribble but needs to finish
Furlong-Jr 6-3”-can shoot and offers size on defense
Winslow #1-soph 6-2”- good young player will continue to improve, scoring threat Winslow #2- soph 6-2” good young player will continue to improve, scoring threat

Basketball starts for boys in ohio on Friday. Any updates or thoughts on the league? St Paul and Mapleton playing in the football playoffs might push back or cancel a scrimmage or maybe more depending on how far they go

I heard that St. Paul will not push back the start of the Basketball season, no matter how far they go in the football playoffs, because they only have two basketball players who are playing football.
