Fredericktown got Cardington-Lincoln coach from last year.
Tim Plumley now at Cardington-Lincoln. Beau Wolford now at Fredericktown.

I think the top is probably favoured to be Highland.
Don't know what to expect of my Pirates with the extremely late decision to get rid of the coach and even more extremely late hire of the new coach. They've got their work cut out for them, but do return most of their talent.

The Scots return a ton of talent and would assume they will be towards the top of the league. I really don't know much about the rest of the league, seems that Northmor probably lost a lot to graduation and Danville took some hits. Season is fast approaching, can't wait for those lights to kick on

Okay, so for moac and kmac football both I thought about opening a site and twitter for them and getting some more exposure, it would take a bit of work but it could blow up decently. I already run theohiosportsblog.wordpress.com (@ohiosportsblog_ on Twitter) and it does well. I just had that thought and I figured it would be pretty cool. Then we could possibly future basketball then baseball. But I would need people interested in helping out. Message me on here or email Ohiosportsblog@gmail.com, thanks!

Red and Purple each have around 30 out to practice the first week. You're spot on for Cardington.

How did scrimmages go this week?
Highland scrimmaged Watkins Memorial on Tuesday and moved the ball with ease. Scrimmaged Galion today and scored 4 TD's on 4 possessions that I watched. Highland has some talent this year, and on the MOAC side of things I think Galion will have a long season.

I am looking forward to an interesting scrimmage tomorrow night between Highland and Pleasant. With all that Highland has back and Pleasant returning 14 starters it should be a good tune up for both teams. I hear that Pleasant did not have a good scrimmage against Wynford so I'm sure their coaches will want to see if some of the changes they have made are going to work or if it is back to the drawing board.

Pleasant and Highland only played a half of varsity football tonight with the Spartans beating the Scots 20-6.

Cardington varsity beat Willard 6-0 in an odd first half last night. Willard scored in second half during down and distance situations. Then Cardington second string got a score as well. Final 12-6. Don't know anything about Willard. Pirates need to stay healthy. On to week 1.

Not a great opening night for the KMAC. Only 3 teams get 1-0.

The Highland game was one I thought would go the other way. As for the rest of the league not a great showing. I know Cleark Fork is pretty good but have mercy, Freddies! Northmor beating Elgin I think is a good win for them, Elgin had very high expectations coming into this season. I think it will be Highland and East Knox battling for that league trophy but some teams like Northmor and Danville could make it interesting.

Highland game was disappointing. I also thought it would go the other way. Northmor win was surprising. Elgin is not that good. East Knox and Highland at the top the KMAC. Danville top 3. Cardington, Fredericktown, Northmor, Centerburg in the middle. MG at the bottom.

Hey, I'm new here. Not much chatter. But I'm not new to football. I have followed football in the area for a while now...The Good days of the NCC (Marion County schools with Mohawk, Riverdale, Carey, Buckeye Central, Col. Crawford, and Wynford)...the old M.O.C. (Morrow County schools with Fredericktown, Marion Catholic, Ontario and Crestline)...the MOAC's glory days, the MBC and the N.O.L. (from the big school days till the more recent version that predates the current M.O.A.C.). I now follow the current configuration of the M.O.A.C. and the K.M.A.C. Just trying to stimulate some fun conversation on here. Will this league come down to the Northmor vs East Knox matchup? Is there no talk because the league is...dare I say...boring? Highland looked pretty good against Ontario...but I guess I don't know how they will measure up against Northmor and East Knox. Those two teams are throwing up some pretty good numbers consistently. Will Centerburg have a say in this before it is all said and done (3-1 currently). Is Danville the best 0-4 team ever? (their opponents after 4 weeks have lost a total of 2 games combined...and the play undefeated Northmor next) And what has happened in Fredericktown...down a little the last couple of years, but not really competing this year? I guess their opponents have been pretty good too (Clear Fork and Pleasant...geez, what a way to start out...Northmor last week)...but the Utica loss kinda makes me wonder. Anyhow, as I said, I'm just looking to see more thoughts on this league if anybody is on here and wants to talk/debate.

EK and Highland will battle it out for the title.
Northmor gets into the playoffs at 8-2.
Centerburg (pretender) and Danville (unknown due to opponents) will battle it out next.
Either Cardington or Fredericktown depending on if the Pirates can get healthy and put four quarters together.
Purple.

Highland has yet to be perfectly healthy for a game this season (which unfortunately sounds like quite a few teams in the league have already gotten their fair share of injuries. Heard Cardington & Gilead both have been fighting those issues, I could be wrong) Highlands O & D line play I think is what will make them better than East Knox at the end of the day. Extremely explosive, extremely physical, & move very well. I expect EK improved quite a bit in the trenches, but to get on the same level as Highlands lineman it needs to be a total breakthrough. EK has gotten a lot more physical as a team from what I understand though, & obviously their skill players do NOT suck and are NOT slow so I do expect it to be a good ball game when they face off, and I do expect the winner of that matchup to win the league.

After seeing East Knox in person, I'd assume the league will actually come down to Northmor and Highland. EK gets in the playoffs but I wasn't overly impressed by them. Maybe just an off night.
