That game was at Pete Henry, no? That takes some sting off Lex' early season loss at Mt Vernon.

It stings because they are near the bottom of the conference, and those losses often have a way of costing you a league title. I don't think it will this year.

My thoughts, exactly. I figured from a Lex perspective, it was a bad loss, and one that could bite them; hence, my comment.

Not really defensive, just asking a question. I think playing a much bigger school on their home floor can be very tough. Specially early in the season when teams are in transition. Norwalk at Huron is a good example that could be made. As a fan there is no shame in playing good competition and running the risk of a competitive loss. Stacking a schedule with easy games would be nice for the record books though.

I doubt they see it as a bad loss with everything considered any more than Norwalk sees their game at Huron. I would say a bad loss for our teams would have been if the Truckers would have lost on Dec 29.

Huron was a bad loss. Thankfully, one that didn't count in Lake standings. And, I agree about the South Central game.

Do you think that when Jeff Thomas talks about his State, Regional and District Titles he also mentions the shared NOL title in the same breathe?

Thomas and gang had lofty goals. Considering who we started with w/o delay lends me to think winning Lake was a goal.

So if I understand you correctly your answer would be it depends on the talent of the team. If they are really good the Lake title would not matter as they have higher goals, but a weaker team values the conference or division more.

You used the word goals so I continued to use it. But in changing the word, you feel if a team has high expectations the Lake doesn't matter?

I wouldn't necessarily say it doesn't matter. But, we haven't done anything since 2014, and that's when my Huron comment comes into play that it doesn't affect Lake standing.
