difference schmifference he looks like a legit QB prospect to me and one we shouldn't have passed on for RGIII I'm not saying he isn't a legit prospect. I'm just saying that one game - against the Browns - isn't necessarily a good indicator. And even if he is a good QB - without a line to protect him, or receivers to make the catches consistently, then he still won't help the Browns. opinion of Wentz now?

That if the Browns drafted him he'd be on IR.

Sometimes it's not a roster issue but an organization issue.

That if the Browns drafted him he'd be on IR. i asked about Wentz not the Browns Steelers fans, where fingers outnumber teeth. What should i expect from fans who jack a rapist? Certainly not reading comprehension. And i didn't.

Now that's just hurtful. I still have most of my teeth. Had the Browns drafted Wentz, he'd be on IR right now and you'd have no idea what his upside was. In fact, I'd say Wentz owes a great deal of gratitude to the Browns for trading out of that 1 spot so he was fortunate enough to find himself in the position he is right now. Now as far as my comprehension goes, I keep inferring from your posts that you are a tad disheartened by Wentz' success since the Browns passed on him, especially given the fate of RGIII. Now if this is faulty comprehension on my part please correct me, though as a Browns fan I am surprised that you can stay sober enough to come on here and read these posts.

As bad as we look at times I can't help but feel like we are in good hands. We are competing every week with IMO far less talent across the board. The staff has done a pretty good job since the 1st quarter of week 1 IMO. It's frustrating still because we have had to deal with this for so long but I truly think there is a light at the end of this tunnel. It's going to be a rough ride this season but I fully expect it to get better moving forward. It truly feels like a complete rebuild I feel confident that the entire organization on the same page. I'm all on board for possibly moving Thomas. He deserve better and if we can get a great return then do it. Hell maybe joe as well.

I never said he wasn't a legit quarterback. What I said was that without a line to protect your QB and receivers to consistently catch passes - then he still wouldn't help the Browns. Heck - a Hall of Famer couldn't help under the same conditions. You've got to protect your QB. . . recent history shows the Browns don't. I agree with Galion - had the Browns drafted Wentz - he would most likely not be playing or playing at the same level. The Browns (for whatever reason) have a history of not protecting their QB. That is one of my husband's biggest complaints about his team - he is a very loyal Browns fan and just can't fathom why they can't put together the right team with all of the chances and choices they've had. Wentz certainly played very well against a horrible looking Steelers team on Sunday. It was very interesting seeing all of the comparisons between Wentz and Big Ben leading up to the game. Similar size, similar styles, similar small school size. Sunday's difference? I'm not sure - Philly came prepared & amped to play. Pittsburgh - ugh!!! Wentz did deliver on the hype - so yes - I'd definitely say that 3 weeks into the season he is a legit QB.

look, let's get one thing straight, the Browns suck, they suck at drafting and developing QBs, and they suck at developing players in general
they still should have drafted Wentz instead of trading for more picks...of all those #1 picks they stockpiled a few years ago NONE of them are currently with the team...and Wentz is a prototypical cold weather QB, he is big, he is strong, he has big hands, he has played in the cold
it was a bad move not to draft him
Ok, so now...would the Browns have ruined Wentz if they drafted him? did Wentz dodge a huge bullet when he was "traded" to Philly? well of course, but neither of those issues are being debated here, they are undeniable facts all to themselves
still should have drafted him...name me a better pro QB prospect in the 2017 draft?

Although he played a decent game.
2nd half playcalling was suspect.
At least the games are somewhat watchable....for 2-3 quarters

IF the game could/would end at the half, what would the Browns' record be? Two costly fumbles really really killed them against Washington.

boy it's too bad no one could convince Terrelle Pryor to convert to WR as a rookie...he is raw as they come but the cat has all the tools and he has good ball skillZ
still remember the td he caught from Todd Boeckman as a frosh, it was clear even then...i think his stubbornness cost him some $$

The Browns have been horrible at drafting and to this day still are. They continue to pick up old and or broke players in the off season hoping to reincarnate and it fails each time. RGIII and Dwayne Bowe come to mind. I never understood why Crowell was not in the game on each down in the 4th this past Sunday?
One thing consistent about Cleveland is they actually make those of us still watching think that they have a shot at winning each week. And as usual, the 4th quarter comes and that thought process gets totally blown up in our faces.

It's been 4 years now since Jim Haslam claims he sold his portion of being a minority owner of the Pittsburgh Steelers, Or did he ? The Browns are still not any better than 4 years of his ownership, and we've had 4 different coaches. I question Haslam's loyalty to this company, Why is he not trying to improve it ? Or is this just another business venture of his to write off in taxes,That he could careless about. Just like his truckstops, ripping off the truck drivers and trucking companies, as he is doing to the Cleveland Brown fans, ripping you off too, Not given you the fans a good product that your paying for. It was nice to here some of the Browns fans cheering for the Patriots and for Tom Brady today. Finally, Some of the Browns fans are realizing Haslam is an idiot, and has given us a false hope. I will return as a Browns fan only when Haslam sells or moves this team elsewhere. I'm done watching this circus with a con artist for an owner.

1st game this year that became unwatchable....and happened rather early.
Tough to win games when you've used 5 QBs this early in the season....exponentially tougher when your team sucks in general.
Trade Joe Thomas...I feel bad for the guy.

they were saying on Mike and Mike the other day that Denver had an offer formulated for Joe Thomas last season but they weren't sure who to contact in the Browns front office to work out a trade, they didn't have any idea who was running the show in Cleveland

Any team that has orange and brown for its colors: BGSU and Browns, may not win a game the rest of the year. BGSU won its only game by one point (over NDSU).

I tell you what, McKessler has grown on me a little.
He's shown pretty good pocket awareness...not the quickest, but keeps his eyes downfield and has shown that he'll step up on the pocket without panic.
More importantly, he's looking like he knows how to take care of the ball.
He's got some shaky locations on quite a few throws, but overall, not too bad for a relative no name with average protection.
They're not losing because of him. If anything, he's keeping them in games.

Quite an entertaining loss I must say. Also, quite nice of the Browns fans to practically give their tickets away on stubhub. You "Browns fans" should really go up to a game this season plenty of great seats available for VERY reasonable prices. Or you can sit online and continue to troll Bengals threads. Your choice.

I'm not a Browns fan, but my brothers and my dad are. I just enjoy watching professional athletes perform. For someone with no skin in the game yesterdays Browns game was quite entertaining. I guess my question is if you only follow/support a team when they are winning are you really a fan? I guess bbmind will have to weigh on that one. Of course you'd have to ask the question on a Bengals thread since that's the team that he secretly roots for.
