Thought I would create this thread to get some chatter going on the current and foreseeable 8, who will make the post season.
As of today it’s looks like.
1 5-1 Tiffin Colombian 2 6-0 Bay Village 3 5-1 Sandusky 4 5-1 Norwalk 5 4-2 Defiance 6 4-2 Clyde 7 4-2 Padua Franciscan 8 4-2 Cleveland Glenville
9 4-2 Rocky River 10 2-4 Bowling Green 11 5-1 Toledo Scott
So we lost TCC and gain the Tarblooders of Glenville...

Defiance's win over Celina last night was huge for them hence, the jump to current standing 5th. Bay with big win over Rocky River as well.
Glenville is projected to have home playoff game, but not many Harbins left on the line for them; even more complicated is fellow Senate rival John Marshall recently had to forfeit 2 games.
Mansfield took a very bad loss to Lex, and essentially is finished. TYgers have a projected 1% chance to make 8th seed.
Of course, next week, big Lake Division games with Norwalk at Sandusky, and Tiffin at Clyde.

They aren’t the Tarblooders of 10-15 years ago.

They aren’t the Tarblooders of 10-15 years ago. No, due to losing at least 200 boys in enrollment

glenville isnt going to get many points from the senate league teams, the only winning team is john marshall. so its questionable if they make the playoffs. i just checked their schedules gleville will get help from only 1 non conference team and thats olentangy liberty(3-3) who they beat 19-17.the other two non conference games, euclid and mentor blew out glenville 42-17 and 42-18 so no help from them. senate league teams wont help glenville much.

just saw joe eitel and in d-3 region 10 and glenville is 8th they play john marshall week 9 marshall now 3-3 and wont be worth as much now. glenville will need help from olentangy liberty and john marhall both 3-3 since the rest of the senate teams wont be giving much points. but there is 2 big games in region 10 sandusky hosting norwalk and tiffin columbian at clyde. next friday will be an exciting night in region 10.

Best team IMO in NW ohio in ALL divisions is Toledo central catholic. If not I'm close. There not in division 3 anymore but in division 2 and rolling teams.Top down defensively they run man on man and press and come at you. Offensively NW best wr in Bowen kid.MSU kid.Fellow sbc schools in playoff hunt should consider ourselves lucky! Sandusky too.Fremont has the trac's top offense led by lehmann,he had a bad game against us.Fremont had 4 drives stall inside our 20, so any one of those drives connect different ballgame.Fremont has enough firepower as does st.johns and findlay, but findlay's qb is done for year.Ross will keep it close.FWIW Fremont is 12 points from being undefeated, in that case at 3 and 3 there record is deceiving .

Central is right where they belong according to the OHSAA. Isn't this about region 10 and not about fremont. BAPH

As soon as I'm about to write off TYgers, they go ahead and beat Ashland. A win over Wooster next Friday, it's a whole new ball of wax. Eitel has Bay, Norwalk, and Clyde as "controlling their destiny. I realize has Eitel has "clinched and clinched home playoff" features, but when he has this after Week 7, it's usually a slam dunk these schools are in.

Region is shaping up to be a slug fest.
If Glenville does make it, do they have any studs?
What do we know about Bay, are they legit?

1. 7-0 Bay 2. 6-1 Norwalk 3. 5-2 Columbian 4. 5-2 Clyde 5. 5-2 Sandusky 6. 5-2 Glenville 7. 3-4 Bowling Green 8. 4-3 Defiance
9. 5-2 Padua
Also have the other Region and how they are shaping up.
Region 9
1. 7-0 Chagrin Falls 2. 7-0 Canfield 3. 6-1 Akron East 4. 6-1 Medina Buckeye 5. 6-1 Alliance 6. 6-0 Chardon 7. 5-2 Ravenna 8. 6-1 Norton
9. 5-2 Richfield 10. 4-3 Aurora
Region 11
1. 6-1 Columbus Eastmoor Academy 2. 6-1 Granville 3. 7-0 Bellbrook 4. 5-2 Columbus Bishop Hartley 5. 6-1 Thornville Sheridan 6. 6-1 Hillsboro 7. 5-2 Columbus St Francis DeSales 8. 5-2 Jackson 9. 6-1 New Richmond 10. 6-1 The Plains Athens
Region 12
1. 6-1 Chaminade Julienne 2. 6-1 Kettering 3. 5-2 Trotwood 4. 6-1 Wapakoneta 5. 5-2 Franklin 6. 4-3 Vandalia 7. 4-2 Hamilton 8. 4-2 Cincinnati Mount Healthy
9. 5-2 Piqua
After looking at the teams so far, my gut tells me this division will go through Region 12 having the say of who wins the state title.
Do we have any teams that have a realistic chance at competing at the highest level this year?

Probably not as I will confess we are probably weakest Region, and maybe by far. But , I am up for any school proving me wrong, especially NHS.

I agree. Region 12 and Region 9. Trotwood is a beast every year and watch for SVSM to get in Region 9. They are always loaded too. 2 losses to Hoban and Massilon - probably 2 of the top 5 teams in all of the state. I also agree from above that Glenville isnt the same program it used to be. One of the SBC teams should make it to the final 4.

SVSM will not be able to get the points necessary to make the playoffs, per Drew Pasteur.

SVSM highly doubt they make it.
As far as a SBC team in the final four... I don’t know about that. But I refuse to doubt it.

i checked out glenville, bowling green, defiance, padua and mansfield sr. first glenville has left jfk(2-5)john marshall(3-3 including 2 forfeit losses) and john hay(2-5).i dont see glenville going higher than they are now at six. too many good sbc teams ahead of them. now bowling green(3-4)has maumee, southview and napoleon left.the bobcats will not get many points for wins over maumee and southview and will drop out of top 8 and it will be too late for them when they play napoleon(5-2)now defiance has the most to gain if they pull off the upsets,wapakoneta(6-1)st.marys memorial(7-0) and van wert(5-2) which i think will not happen,i like to see it but it will be too much for defiance.padua has hoban(7-0),benedictine(3-4)lake catholic(4-3). i hope padua upsets hoban and will be unlikely and that should end paduas hope.mansfield sr(3-4) has 5-2 wooster and if they beat wooster it might put them 8th bjut they will drop out with mt.vernon(2-5)and madison rams(1-6) mansfield sr should finish 5-5.

After I a took a couple of Tylenol I looked up Drew Pasteur’s projections:
1. Bay Village Bay (9-1) 27.25 2. Norwalk (8-2) 24.76 3. Clyde (7-3) 22.20 4. Cleveland Glenville (8-2) 21.21 5. Tiffin Columbian (7-3) 20.55 6. Sandusky (7-3) 18.65 7. Parma Padua Franciscan (6-4) 13.45 8. Bowling Green (5-5) 13.30 9. Lexington (5-5) 13.10 10. Rocky River (6-4) 12.95 11. Mansfield (5-5) 12.65

bay village has 3 teams at 5-2 left, elyria catholic, revere and valley forge.i disagree with drew pasteurs projection of glenville.they will finish at 8-2 but the points arent there not with jfk (2-5, john marshall 3-3 and john hay 2-5.the only team team that can help is olentangy liberty at 4-3 and not an overwhelming schedule left..so gleville dont contol their destiny. i notice that drew pasteur took defiance out figuring they would lose to the 3 top dogs in the wbl wapakoneta,st marys memorial and van wert.if defiance pulls the upsets then they will take a big leap.now i think padua(5-2) will lose to hoban, but beat benedictine(3-4) and lake catholic( 4-3) to finish at 7-3.norwalk ( 6-1) will beat perkins, clyde and columbian to finish at 9-1clyde must beat both sandusky then norwalk for points, wont get too many points from bellevue at the end.columbian has bellevue then perkins so they will lose ground beford closing the season with norwalk.

I confessed it was weaker compared to other 3. And, things became more interesting; Glenville was put on 3- year probation which includes not being eligible for this year's postseason.
