I saw this on the Toledo Blade on-line that Massillion Washington High School has been ruled by the OHSAA that they are being penalized for recruiting violations this upcoming season. One of their top players will be ineligible to play this season. Coach Nate Moore is banned from coaching in the playoffs this year should the team make it this year. Massillion Washington High School is fined $5,000.oo and placed on 3 years probation. The penalties stem over the issue of the player transfer whom Coach Moore had coached when he was at Cincinnati LaSalle. And we thought that only Catholic School only do recruiting.

From Cincinnati to to Massillon is one heck of a recruiting job and dumb of the coach to think he could get away with it. He must have thought no one would report it. What MUST be done to stop it.

After all the years of questionable players, is this the first time Washington has been punished?

So he recruited... bad coach, but in Masillon I can understand why. They are akin to OSU when it comes to rabid fans and pregame/post game crazies. I took in the Washington/McKinley game three years ago now I think, and honestly, I would go again in a minute. I had no dog in the fight, but for pure, make you squeal like a little girl, Saturday afternoon, big rivalry high school football?? It was loads of fun.
If you never have, it's worth it to go....just once.
If I get more time, I will post a pic or two tomorrow....
