I don't get sportsjock, is he a troll? I was watching the Browns/Chargers yesterday and noticed that the Chargers had no trouble running with a Statue (aka Philip Rivers) playing QB. The Chargers have the 4th best rushing attack in the NFL with a Statue playing QB The Patriots have the 8th best rushing attack in the NFL with a Statue playing QB Tom Brady and Philip Rivers both make Dwayne Haskins look like the 2nd coming of LeBron James, that's how slow they are Ohio State can't run it because the O-Line plays like a bunch of wusses. The Chargers and Patriots O-Lines play like men, Ohio State's O-Line lets undersized TCU, Indiana, and Minnesota blow them back into the backs. Isiah Prince couldn't even pass block last game. Slow feet. Maybe Urban should use 280-290 lbs linemen instead of 315 across the board. Big fat, slow footed softies. I want quick, powerful men playing the O-Line. Troll huh?.....lol I think you read my views on the OL. We have no "Big fat, slow footed softies" on the OL roster. Often the difference between an effective, functioning unit from an under-performing unit, can come down to subtleties in technique, footwork, good hand use, driving from the hips....all the basics of good form. The coaching staff grade out the linemen. Has anyone seen them or are they not made available to the public? Like I mentioned in my assessment, It might be time to re-position some linemen.

Dumbo again proves how dumb he is by comparing the NFL to college football. Instead compare other college teams with "statue" QBs to Ohio State. FAKE STATS!

I hope we do not forget that some of the pass plays are reads that may be run calls that were changed at the snap and became a 30yd TD play. The result of the current QB’s choice to pass and get 30yds instead of the former QB keeping it and getting the 5yds rushing can explain what some are looking for. If that happens 6 or7 times we get the difference. Plus some plays that are going down as pass plays are runs according to Urban.

There is little question that J.T. was far more advanced in reading defenses and that can be expected, but Haskins is learning fast. It seems that the past few games, we have gone back to the short passing game, 5 and 6 yard possession passes. This offense is the most deadliest when we stretch the field and utilize Haskins strength to every advantage. The great pass to K.J. Hill was thrown behind him, but Hill showed his flexibility and athleticism to do what few receivers are capable of doing. The catch may the catch of the year. Some great chemistry has been established between QB and receivers. They have confidence in their QB and the QB has great confidence in his receivers, perhaps the best in all of football right now.

Far more advanced in what way? At the same point in JT's career Haskins has more attempts, more completions, more TDs, less INTs less fumbles more total yards and more wins. If Haskins ever becomes a 5th year senior(which is very unlikely since most elite QBs do not) he may hold national records for a QB. In the run/pass read option offense, the QB keep is not always the best play, it is the safest play for the QB. According to Urban, the offense has not changed a great deal. Some of the short pass plays are run calls that are reads made from a defensive check that is being made correctly.

Urban said yesterday in the press conference that "Big Game" Haskins is making all the right reads.
JT couldn't read a giant billboard 10 feet in front of him. That's why he never handed it off to a fellow teammate and never threw a pass to a single teammate. Ball Hog. He didn't know what to do so he just tucked it and ran it himself.

You are very wrong about J.T. As they say, ignorance is bliss. Let's hope we see some deep throws this week.

Define deep throws? Compared to what we have seen that last 3 years we have been launching the ball.

Define deep throws? Compared to what we have seen that last 3 years we have been launching the ball. Still living in the past I see and still throwing insults at other Buckeyes. We opened the season with a hurry-up, no huddle offense the first couple games and are now settled into a more traditional, methodical approach. The deep throws have become far less frequent than we originally seen. Why has the offensive approach changed from full attack mode to what we see today? Perhaps due to a shorter OL rotation than we enjoyed to start the year? I liked our original approach that was intended to confuse, disrupt and wear down the defense. Perhaps it will be restored in key moments or key games still ahead.

Urban has said in a press conference that a majority of the short passes are run plays that were checked to the crossing receivers and it was the correct read to make based on the defense or a defenders action. It is true things have changed because we do not play Ore.St and Rutg. every weekend. We just played Indiana who was 4-1 and Minn. who was 3-2 and put up back to back 400yds passing. Impressive to say the least, and by a QB with only 7 starts who is being mentioned by some in Heisman talks. And you're complaining??? That, is insulting.

Dude, I agree with everything you are saying here, but please don't be so lame as to perpetuate the myth that J.T. only threw 'short passes'. Throwing long was an important part of his passing arsenal. If you will take the time to note in his carreer TD video will attest:

It was important to the Buckeyes but it did not happen often. If a player has 4 years to create a highlight film they are going to make some plays all over the field. We all can agree that JT was not considered a deep ball threat QB. YDS/A from last year confirms he was not even close to the top 20 for deep throws. That's not an insult it's a fact.

By the way, the highlight film is awesome and gave me chills as I watched it. I would like to point out that the very first TD on the video the WR has to almost stop and wait for the pass. But if I did some would call me a hater or that I was being insulting. It's a great memory refresher of the great talent we have had at wide receiver and tight end these last several years. As good as the receivers were, the group we have been recruiting these days are the best in the history of the school IMO. I'm hoping like hell Garrett Wilson and Jameson Williams will experience what it's like to be on the receiving end of Haskins throws.

This isn't a "high light film". It is a video record of a Big Ten Record. This record for most TD passes isn't close, the record holder has 14 more than #2 on the list. BTW none of the Big Ten QBs on the list of most TD passes left early for the draft. Count the number of TD passes in the video thrown 20+ yards down field.

A Big Ten Record is cherrypicking[sic]? Farcical hating. One of 39 Big Ten and school records held.
A lot less cherry picking, than most TD passes at a point in time in a single season. One of the 10 possible yearly categories .
