Harding beats Galion. 5-0 now Harding beat them 75-23, freshman Justice Steinman-Ross a name to watch. She led all with 14, everyone knows potential POY candidate Ariyah Douglas who had a near triple double but Justice a player to watch too. Girls hoops should be good a few years

Looking forward to a good game then this Friday in Shelby when Harding comes to town. Will be interested to see how deep Lantz goes into her bench during this one. I would say you can go 2-3 girls into the bench and still be okay. After that she may tighten things up.

Excited for Friday, MHH @shelby. I’ve caught a lot of area games lately and finally this one will be worth the $7 ticket. Last nights area game wasn’t a blowout but wasn’t good basketball to watch. Even last nights winner should feel like they lost, poor choices on both teams.

Pleasant beats BV by 2 on late layup. BV was up 9 and coach went to a diamond defense that girls had no clue where they should be and pleasant girl hit 3 3's from same spot to get them back in it.

What a game and environment. Have a feeling both teams win out in moac till they play again and Harding beats them at home and co-champs. Teams evenly matched. Close a game as it gets.

Shelby wins 45-43. Great game. Back and forth most of the second half. Shelby makes most of their FTs down the stretch to win.

It was a triangle and 2. Pleasant moved Craycraft to high post to confuse them and it worked. It was a fun game to watch. I did notice the BV announcer didn’t announce any of the Pleasant coaches, but did for BV. She announces girls and boys and has for many years. Now the stutters at the beginning make sense. Pretty petty.

He was handed a loaded team last year at BV and she saved him from a lot of boos from the crowd. It was a great game with an unfortunate outcome for BV. All in all he’s still loved.

He went to the school his family is at, I believe. Many people in the stands noticed. She also told BV people it had nothing to do with boos and she just didn’t want to do it. I just said what everyone is talking about.

Family 1st for sure, and footprints from stepping stone at his old family school will fade with time. Yes loaded Sr class. Roll ball out on floor and win 15 last year.

That SR. class under performed before last yr because Fraker had no clue. 1 is correct in saying anyone could of coached them last yr and just rolled the ball on the court and said play and would have won 15 games. BV has some talent but won't get the most out of them the way it's going. Already had 1 quit that should have played some varsity.

BV has some talent but it's like Fraker is back and will go unproven. I blame a lazy AD in the hiring of coaches. I'd love to see Fitzpatrick, I thinks his last name from pleasant, cardington assistant get a shot at BV someday. Thank you, Valley24. I’ll go ahead and comment because the hypocrisy from the statements from Scowden and Edington being made now compared to the statements from February are at opposite ends of the spectrum. The choice to leave was 100% BV leaving the league. We have three daughters (a newborn and two in multiple activities). I teach at Pleasant and our daughters attend Pleasant. With the hours my husband puts in with basketball, it would be impossible for him to still be a dad while traveling to Columbus every night for games or scouting. People within BV were adamant on not making it about the league so people wouldn’t say anything, but it was. He’s now traveling to RV rather than Columbus. It was a tough decision and many sleepless nights because he loved being there. But it was not going to work with the new league and being a dad. I hope you all the success and fun memories!

Like 1 said Mrs Stout, he chose family 1st and that good for him And his family. I hate the league change myself and won't make most road games. My daughter didn't play varsity last year so I'm saying what I've said when Fraker was there, anyone with half basketball knowledge could win with the 4 SR. and a 6'1 junior last yr. I have nothing against Travis, wished he would have stayed, he didn't. Wish Fitz would have gotten the shot at coaching he desierves, but he didn't. The drive to CF, Ont,Shelby and Galion are not short rides for BV. At the end of the day you help your child get the work in and hope they succeed at what they want to do.

Please, the Galion drive is barely 50 minutes. I'll give you that the Shelby drive is probably unpleasant. I'm sorry, but there is no way that you can pay me to drive south of BV anywhere around Columbus during rush hour. Good luck with that.

Makes more sense to me.

Varsity games at 730 is not rush hour so a 50 min drive puts you at 630-645. So can still make Whitehall game in 50 min just like a Galion game.

Problem is genius that outside of football on Friday nights you don’t just play a varsity match at 730. Good luck with soccer track cc tennis swimming fresh and jv b-ball fresh and jv vball etc. In addition, my daughter recently graduated from Capital and has lived in Hilliard for the past 3 years. Having attended several indoor track meets on Friday evenings during her time there I can assure you that even after 6 pm in that area there is no such thing as light traffic, even on Friday nights. So I would suggest that you plan on leaving for that Whitehall game in the 5:45 neighborhood.

The sports you mentioned to try and make your point do not carry the numbers to swing the choice in your favor.

Sure they are, but how steady of a prediction model are these ADs and principals using when they are determining the average visiting crowd for Shelby athletics & others versus a swath of small city schools who they have no association with (as opposed to a lot of records from other MOAC schools)?. I doubt gas mileage is substantially better or worse in one way or the other (and I'll lobby it's worse based on a cursory observation).
If this was the more financially prudent scenario I would be pretty shocked.

I apologize, when I say the numbers I mean the numbers of the travelers to football and basketball games vs a jv volleyball game or a soccer and tennis match.
