I don't feel good about this one at all. Prove me wrong, Flyers!

Thinking this could be a running clock against St.Paul this game. Playing the FC teams will do no favors prepping them for this talent of a team.

What was Edgertons strength of schedule? Do you know?

That is said every year and yet St Paul is able to make a run in the playoffs. Dont think they will have many problems In this one, it could be a good one but SP wont get blown out

St. Paul wins, but the bulldogs will be no pushover. Edgerton has made the playoffs the past 2 years and we're knocked off in the first round by Calvert last year 50-43, and Holgate the year before 59-15. The only team to put double digit scoring on them this year was the Fairview Apaches lost 62-29. The Apaches face Gibsonburg in The first round of division six region 22. Kinda hard to judge, as there is no common opponent, but I think the flyers will be ready.

Fantastic 50 has Edgerton winning by 6. Calpreps has [at a neutral field] Edgerton-35 St. Paul-24 highschoolball.com has Edgerton winning 30-29
Should be interesting seeing the Flyers in an underdog role against an undefeated Edgerton team. Should be a fun one to watch!
I'll take the Flyers 35-28

2017 Minster- State Champ 2016 John F Kennedy- State Champ 2015 Magadore - State runners-up 2014 Marion Local- State Champ
Here are the last 4 teams that St Paul has lost to in the playoffs. If Edgerton wins then I guess they have a great chance of winning it all. I keep hearing how this SP team isn’t the same caliber of past SP teams, maybe they aren’t the same but hopefully they go out and kick some ***. I will take this undersized, small senior class and young SP team coached by JL and his staff all day long. Go Flyers!

edgerton is in the green meadows conference in the northwest counties of fulton, williams, defiance and paulding counties. i would rate the green meadows conference just above the firelands conference just not a real strong conference.edgerton has beaten hilltop(4-6),edon(7-3),montpelier(4-6),holgate(3-7),hicksville(6-4),sherwood fairview(7-3)tinora(3-7)antwerp(6-4)wayne trace(5-5)and ayersville(2-8)

St Paul-20th toughest schedule in their division (108 teams) not great
Edgerton-38th toughest schedule in their division (108 teams) not impressive either
It would look like just maybe the FC wins out this time. From what I have watched on film so far the teams that Edgerton played looked very similar to the bottom of the FC. There were no teams that they played that looked like SP, Mapleton or Monroeville.
We will find out Saturday night!

I won't disagree with your ending assessment, but I do take pause at how you can consider St. Paul's strength of schedule, which is in the top 20% of difficulty for its division, as not great? Maybe not for their historical standards, but I would argue that having a top 20% schedule is fortunate, especially when 30% of the schools in the division make playoffs. Shelby last year had a strength of schedule that was about 50/100ish. I would have been much more pleased if they were able to claim a top 20% schedule.

Lots of trash talk from Edgerton on a sister forum. Teams like them that coast through the regular season, but all of a sudden get punched in the mouth by a team such as the FC's finest, usually fold. They won't know how to handle things when they don't go their way. C'mon Flyers, shut these guys up! ...Flyers by two scores.

I assume the talk is just a kid trying to be funny and get a rise out of people.

The GMC was fairly average this year. However, Edgerton is very good and I understand why they’re favored. However, a St. Paul win won’t surprise me at all.

Reminds me of the way St. Mary's Memorial folks talked smack on Yappi prior to playing Shelby last year in the playoffs. The ended up getting smacked. I wonder if they will do the same when they play Clear Fork in the regional final.

Does Edgerton play on grass or do they have turf? Does anyone know their style of play? ( Spread, under center, ect). The mud and mess favors the flyers.

Grass and 95% run. Similar to Plymouth but much faster running backs and very physical line.

Maybe I'm a just a homer (Mom was an SP alum), but I have a hard time seeing the Flyers drop this one, or even let it get close. When was the last time NSP entered the second season as a Game 1 underdog?

When was the last time NSP entered the second season as a Game 1 underdog? 2006. St. Paul (#8) went to Mohawk and beat the top seed 18-15 for the first round of a state semifinal run, beating McComb week 12 40-28, Hopewell Loudon week 13 29-28, and getting destroyed by state champion Marion Local in Tiffin. www.joeeitel.com/hsfoot/region.jsp?region=22&year=2006Good luck Flyers!

I picked St Paul basically out of habit, though that Fairview over Gibsonburg score last night really had me questioning that
