It's been chalk thus far in this District. No reason to think it will change.

I wouldn't count Lexington out. They are young, but have improved a lot of last year and Clear Fork is not the same team they have been the last few years.

Remind me, what were the results of those games? Not that it matters, just curious. Lex has been given home field advantage in this District.

I don't believe they have played twice... OCC only plays each league opponent one time and did away with their end of season tournament. First time they played doesn't mean anything, remember the Ontario boys outscored Norwalk 13-2 in league play and lost 2-1 in tournament!!! Elmination rounds anything goes!
Clear Fork won their regular season match 2-1.

You are correct MansburgBuck, Clear Fork and Lexington only played once and the final score was 2-1 in favor of the Colts.

Same can be said for the Lexington boys who lost to Norwalk in regular season 2-1 but yet tonight won 3-1 in a 2-OT shootout game.

Ontario vs Clear Fork, 6p Sat at Lexington. Ontario won 3-1 on Oct. 11.
District finals since Ontario went Division 2: 2016: Ontario vs Clear Fork 2015: Ontario 1-0 Clear Fork 2014: Clear Fork 5-1 Ontario 2013: Ontario 3-0 Clear Fork Seems to be a pattern...

Chalk, Norwalk had ZERO shots on goal against Ontario's D.
Due to the "pattern" your predicting this is Clear Fork's turn?

With that season ending loss the Lexington girls finish with a record of 10-6-2 under first year coach Tyson Porter. A tremendous improvement from last seasons 4-14 finish.
Great job on a fine season and best of luck to Clear Fork in District Finals

Due to the "pattern" your predicting this is Clear Fork's turn? Not predicting Clear Fork, but just how it's been the same two teams for 4 year's worth of district finals.

Bay is a different animal. They beat Celine 7-0 in the Regional Semis, Ontario beat Celina 3-1 at home. In the regular season Bay played Hathaway Brown and Chagrin Falls the teams in the Regional Finals that the winner of this game will play in the 1st game in the State Finals. They both beat Bay, but only by 1-0 scores. Also, Bay played 9 DI schools from soccer rich North East Ohio in the regular season.
Ontario will have to play their best game of the year to move on.

The Clyde Flier boys' soccer team is off to a racing start. They beat Upper Sandusky last weekend 6-0 and followed it up with a 9-0 shellacking of Old Fort on Tuesday. Coach Fultz, in his 3rd year at the helm, is improving that team each year. They have set records for wins both years in conference and overall. Last year was the first non-losing season in program history.
And, in a side note to those on other topics here, the soccer program at Clyde doesn't seem to have hurt the football program much. Since the program became a varsity program in 2005, the Flier football team has won 8, count 'em, 8, SBC football championships. That's half of their conference record tying 16 football championships.
My son played high school soccer. The type of kids who play soccer at that level have, IMHO, different body types for even those who play the skill positions in football. Of course there are soccer players who could very easily excel at football and do. And not just kickers although that is a major benefit. The reverse is also true. Just thought I'd throw that in there for those who think their school couldn't support both football and soccer in the fall.

I feel each side has valid points on if it does or doesn't affect football. Maybe more important is to know soccer is here and growing. Although I do not see football going anywhere, keeping kids from playing soccer should not be a result of having a football team.

Let's not confuse "body type" with interest. If a kid chooses to play football his "body type" is going to look much different by his senior year because of the strength and conditioning programs than if he chooses to go out for soccer, cross country, or golf.
