Again, if Norwalk takes care of ball and not commit too many penalties, we should be fine

I think this will be a better game than anticipated. Rocky River slips into the playoffs takes out #1 seed and look to take out #4.
I noticed all their losses were to playoff teams ( Medina Buckeye, Bay, Vally Forge, and Elyria Catholic). Also played 4 D2 teams and won, small note as well.

Basically a home game for rocky river wth They took over Clyde's seeding; usually higher seed will get closer game

They don't take over clyde's seeding. The seeds stay the same throughout the regional. Norwalk will be home team the rest of the regionals.

Wonder if Amherst is hosting a game North Ridgeville isn’t even close to half way.

For record, Sandusky beat Bay solid, and Valley Forge was hammered by AW. Imho, BG played a better schedule, and we saw what Norwalk did.

Rocky River is the home team here. The home team is determined by who is on the top part of the bracket. The winner of this game will be the home team in the regional final against Lexington/Sandusky.

I believe it is an arguable debate on whether Bowling Green or Rocky River had the tougher schedule. Every game that Bowling Green should have lost they lost but the same goes for Rocky River. I would give a slight edge to Rocky River’s schedule just because I think those teams they lost to will indeed go deeper in the playoffs then Bowling Green’s opponents.
I think you also have to take in the fact that all of Rocky Rivers losses came to teams that made it to the playoffs. Bowling Green only had two of their 4 losses make the playoffs.

You would think the higher seed would be considered the home team. Strange. That would make the most sense, but it's not the way the OHSAA does it. ...and it sure confuses the hell out of people. I ended up having to explain this rule many times to Shelby fans at Ashland last year.

I was bamboozled for a spell myself.

The team on the top of the bracket being the home team started in 1999 when they expanded to 8 teams per region. It’s not a new thing. They also do it in basketball

I’m going with Rocky River. Norwalk has yet to put back-to-back games against high competition. Also, it’s only a 20 minute difference between Norwalk to N Ridgeville and Rocky River to N Ridgeville. Plus if you ever driven through rush hour traffic on the west side on a Friday you know it’s not great, so the travel times are fairly equal.

I have never seen Rocky River play, but this is what I heard in talking to a few people. Their lines are not real big and Norwalk "could" have an advantage upfront. I also heard that Clyde was unable to put much pressure on the QB so he was able to wait or roll out and find open receivers, while the same QB struggled against pressure in a game vs Bay (a game that Bay won). For Norwalk it seems to come down to turnovers for them.

Norwalk wins by multiple scores. A running clock second half wouldnt surprise me. No way! Norwalk is not good enough for a running clock on any of the remaining schools. I'm just curious how many running clocks did they put on anyone this year? And when is the last time a number 8 team has won there region?
