I spent a bit of time in Geneva last winter and got to see this facility. It is massive. When I was being shown around, they were hosting the Big East swimming championships, the Big Ten indoor track championship, and a volleyball camp with at least 30-40 teams there and they had plenty of room to spare for other events. The thing was never completely finished, as the benefactor who was bankrolling the entire complex ran out of money. There are unfinished sections of the "campus" with plywood boards still up, and most of the entire entrace and parking lot is gravel, as there wasn't money to finish the paving. Not much for Lavar to do up there besides drink at the wineries and deal with lake effect snow. I don't know much about any Spire Institute basketball program that they had, but it's definitely a top-notch place to train I suppose.
