Some teams in the playoff do not have a "center of town". That may have been a term used but IF they make a measurement they use the high school.

We knew Friday if Avon and Central won, then we had a really good chance of hosting that game.

Obviously this is a good thing for both teams since still in the hunt for state title, wondering how many basketball games for both schools are being postponed as of now. Im sure both have to have delays already. So whom is home team this time...……….

To answer my own question I saw on the OHSAA site Norwalk listed as home team.

Norwalk is home team.
Fremont won’t be finishing their stadium any time soon according to the FAAF website they still owe $2 million on it. The new high school breaks ground next year I believe. Not sure when Stamm gets torn down.

This is going to be a GREAT game. Sandusky is not the same team that played Norwalk the first time. The losses and people who did not play in that game have really changed my look on this game. The team has got a hungry look right now, hope it continues. The senior Stewart only played a few series against Norwalk since it was his first game back. The outside starting linebacker and middle starting linbacker (Irby) did not play. Irby is a huge run stopper on defense. Sandusky is able to throw the ball when they need too. The quarterback has starting running the ball a little more as well. I don't forsee Raymore getting to the edge so easily, but he will get his as he is a phenomenal runner. I think it might come down to which quarterback can make the most plays in the air and on the ground. I am going to say 35-24 Sandusky.

I seen Sandusky had played Fremont Ross for a regional final in 83 which I bet was a pretty big deal at the time. Is this the first time in SBC League history that two SBC teams have played for a Regional final? I recall a Clyde/Oak Harbor playoff game that was played in like 3 inches of snow that may have been a regional final back in the late 80's early 90's? Anyhow, Kind of a big deal I thought? Surprised nobody has mentioned it, or is it just me thinking too much?

The debate has been how many days they'll need to be ready for Game #1. The overall feel has been to let football play out and then see what happens. Yes discussions have been ongoing basketball wise but nothing set in stone from my understanding to this point. As you noted Norwalk is the home team due to being the top team on the bracket.

It was at Mollenkopf Stadium at Waite HS, and with a bit of snow. Clyde avenged their only loss of the season to Rockets as OH won Week 4 game. And, as you mentioned, Ross-Sandusky was huge! 11,000 jammed Harmon Stadium as Ross beat Sandusky for the Second Successive week by same 7-0 score

Shelby and Bellevue were both SBC teams last year and played for the regional championship; however they were in different divisions.

Clyde finished #1 and Oak Harbor #2 so the regional final would have been when they met up.

I think Oak Harbor blocked two punts in round one. This also might have been the year that Oak Harbor lost their main running back in the first round of the playoffs.

$3 to park ? Visiting side won't be full. I think you will be surprised. Sandusky will bring a solid crowd for this one. Collecting parking $ is one of the ways schools make hosting a worthwhile venture. You get ZERO from ticket sales. Really just concessions and parking and usually concessions is one group and parking is another.

Playoff Rematches of two SBC teams in the Regional Final or later
1995 - Regional Final Clyde over Oak Harbor 10-7 ---- OH won the week 9 game over Clyde 21-14 Clyde went on to win the State Title
1996 - Regional Final Margaretta over Oak Harbor 15-0 ---- Margaretta won the week 5 game over OH 22-15 Margaretta eventually lost in the State Semi-Final to Germantown Valley View (the eventual State Champ)
1999 - State Semi-Final Perkins over Oak Harbor 21-0 ---- Perkins won the week 9 game over OH 30-13 Perkins went on to win the State Title - OH finished 12-2 both loses to Perkins
2017 - Regional Final Shelby over Bellevue 42-21 ---- Shelby won the week 4 game 46-0 over Bellevue Shelby lost in the State Semi-Final to Steubenville (the eventual State Champ)
So far the winner of a SBC vs SBC rematch in the Regional Final or later has either eventually won the State Title or lost to the eventual State Champ
