I do find it a little odd, despite what I stated earlier this AM, that Wapak is the location after losing to Alter. Talk about kick in the......

"Right where we want them?" Inasmuch as I like being the underdog I'll agree. And I too would have preferred a more evenly booked venue, but will gladly drive. Go Truckers! Thanks for the wild ride, I'm enjoying the show.

I see travel distance is a bit in the opponents favor and some people are making a big deal about it. Personally, I think it means nothing to players. Its exciting to be playing at different venues and fun to travel to them. It's all part of the experience. I Bet regardless of who's closest to Columbus, nobody will complain about going there!

1belowthepressbox,
Hit the nail right there cowboy! Those kids just want to play and I couldn’t agree more getting to travel and play is fun even if your drive is longer than the others.
I think once you’re done and see it the way some of us do, it’s an issue.
I’ve been trying to watch every highlight video or footage on the Knights. Very winnable game for Norwalk. Looking back on the schedule Norwalk played and comparing that to the Knights is arguably similar.
I know I said this area usually doesn’t get teams ready ready for a some of the bigger playoff schools but I think I’m going to eat my words on that.

The SBC Lake was very competitive, and nearly sent 5 of 6 to playoffs. I always stated an Uber competitive conference prepares one well during postseason. Also, as a fan, pushing for the 4 OCC Schools to join for this reason. I know; dead horse, haha

Birdman, what did you see in those films? All I got out of them was wishbone offense, very Stout and physical. I agree, a winnable game. I think people in our area (especially teams that aren't regular winners) are in too much awe of teams we don't see regularly. We are as big, physical, explosive, and fast as anyone. No reason Norwalk can't win this game.

Wishbone, appeared to be a solid defense, have overall good talent.
Very correct I think the “awe” effect happens a lot and that isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but Norwalk is very capable of winning this game.
This is the time of year and it’s obvious, you have to be clicking on all cylinders and can’t make mental mistakes.
They do have a shotgun package I saw, so it isn’t just a run all day team in the Knights.

Huron played Roger Bacon which is in their league.. its a solid league.. I guess what stands out to me is their defense.. holding a very very good Wapakontea team to 1 touchdown is concerning.. but the fact norwalk is not one dimensional really helps..

From what I read, Wapak shot themselves in the foot a few times. One being fumbling inside 5 yard line before half

Who for OHSAA decides these locations??? Pretty much a home game for Alter. Yeah, a 69 mile trip is pretty much a home game for Alter.🙄 Everyone that makes this complaint sure makes it come across like they have an excuse for losing already in their hip pocket. The field is 100 yards long by 53 1/3 yards wide no matter where you play.

Fans complain about locations. I can assure you that the players and coaches don't really care, as long as the facility is nice (and Wapakoneta appears to be).

I don’t think people use it as an excuse as to why they lose, I just think there is somewhere a lot closer to the half way then the location picked.

I personally don’t think it matters where the game is played. Yes, it’s a longer drive for Norwalk. So what? At this point if you said the game is on Mars with a 3 am kickoff I think the Truckers would be happy.
Besides, I’m willing to bet Norwalk fans outnumber Alter fans 10-1.

I’ve seen Alter fill their side at the basketball final four, so I would assume they travel well for football as well

In the case of Ed's and Hoban, if they win they earned it. The competition they have endured......
