Sandusky Saint Mary’s 54 Perkins 38 final. Referees were horrible, they were pro Saint Mary’s the entire game.

Well, Pirate football season wasn't much to talk about, basketball season may be even worse. Sad, but true.

To Perkins defense, three of SMCC players used to play for Perkins. SMCC will be really good in the River Division, should roll this year. Also a really nice job by both schools that raised money for a scholarship in the name of Stone Ambos a Perkins player who passed away in the off-season.

Looking at the results of the first weekend of play it appears the schedule is gonna play out right for a Harawayless Norwalk team... Opening with Huron and TC prior to his return

Huron defeats Norwalk 44-33.. SV I missed on this one however without the leagues best player and several fball players trying to get in b-ball shape I still thought NHS would have enough. Will look good on Hurons resume in a couple months if nothing else...

NHS will be fine, but is going to take them til end of the month to start playing well..

Let's be honest, even if Haraway played, they still wouldn't have beat my Tigers, who are playing without two of their best three players as well, as mentioned by coach Robby James in the post game Register interview. Obviously, it's still early and the Tigers will proabably struggle to score the ball for a little while, but I like what I have seen as far as moving the ball and competing on D. When Barnaby and Hinckley get back this team will be fun to watch.
GO Tigers

Dumpmeister, I was wondering when you would opine about this one. Anyways, Haraway is best in the league, and your two like to shoot birds. No comparison. Go Truckers!

Is Harraway off Santas' naughty list? Wasn't he on it last year or the year before? Obviously the Truckers missed him vs Huron as they were able to only ring the bell for 33 points I see.

Huron lucky to catch Norwalk early in December, if this game is played in January Norwalk wins by 15 or more.

That is what I was asking on another thread. I think this kid has sat out games before. Are we seeing a pattern?

Haraway was suspended fro 2 games for getting ejected on a bs call in the playoff football games. I he play s and Obringer doesn't get knocked out Norwalk wins by 15-20, Football guys still trying to get into bball form, 1 week of practice with full team , pretty tough. Norwalk still will win Lake I feel.

Not very Christian of me to say, but BS about sums it up. Yes, he missed Bball in the past, but moreso injury-related from football a couple years ago

The next two playoff games if they had won or the first two games next season if he weren’t a senior.

It's accurate; credit OHSAA for being creative in order to have some control

So a kid who doesn’t play any other sports gets punished less than a kid who plays two sports?

There has to be some form of consequences; otherwise, it could be a free-for-all. I certainly don't agree with the OHSAA on many things, but be thankful they were creative to maintain control; if one doesn't have another game in said sport, it has to carry over for checks and balances

Norwalk did not have to play Huron this early.. that was their choice!! and they knew going into the game the situation. we wouldve pushed it back to whatever they needed... I think its going to take your football guys 3 weeks before they get their legs. We have been down that road before. football shape is not basketball shape. and until you're in basketball shape your shot will be off.. they will be fine, but December is not going to be fun for them.

So a kid who doesn’t play any other sports gets punished less than a kid who plays two sports? This is where this rule is tricky if you are ejected during a football game, you sit out that game plus one more football game since it carries over to basketball now he sits out two games. because basketball has a 22 game max schedule.. wrestling is also different ... if a kid doesnt play another sport..what can they do?
