Upper kinda makes you shake your head? They seemed awfully tough early on . Not so much lately.

Agree with making Upper play half court basketball. Upper struggling making shots. Shot is poorly vs Wynford and Vs Mohawk was 10-35 from 3pt line. Was at the game and those shot were all “good shots” Players seemed frustrated with misses. Heard they are only making 42% of 2s. If they get their shooting confidence back consistently then they will be a much better team.

Records going into last week before draw and who they play this week:
Willard 14-3 (Vermilion) Upper Sandusky 12-4 (Seneca East, Bucyrus) Western Reserve 11-5 (Mapleton, St Paul) Carey 8-6 (New Riegel, Buckeye Central) Oak Harbor 9-7 (Margaretta, Bellevue) New London 8-7 (South Central, Mapleton, Black River) Huron 8-8 (Clyde) Fostoria 6-10 (Eastwood, Otsego) Wynford 5-12 (Crestline, Mohawk) Bucyrus 3-14 (Colonel Crawford, Upper Sandusky) Crestview 3-15 (South Central) Lakota 1-15 (St Joseph, Old Fort)
Points: A) Willard win over Vermilion likely gets them the 1 seed, but a loss drops them to the 2. Upper did beat them head-to-head B) 4-7 will be interesting, Big week for those schools

Wynford big night last night beating Carey and holding Stone to only 2 points. Craul had 44 kid is carrying them on his back.
Western Reserve still is my favorite team out of this district they play really good team basketball.
Not a state team in the group here but still a tough district for the teams in it. District champ from here loses regional semifinals by 20 to whom ever they end up playing.
Upper gets the one seed with its win over the flashes earlier.

How can Stone be a legitimate college prospect if he can only score 2 points in a game? How many shots did Crall take to get to 44?

This District is wide open. It all comes down to the matchups. Willard playing the best basketball in my opinion. Should be the 1 seed. Based on what I have seen Upper has issues with team chemistry, coach screaming at players. Can Carey establish Stone, can teams contain Crall?

Teams have 3 weeks to be playing their best basketball, which is the goal.

He was 18-22 from the foul line with 12-12 in 4th quarter. Even as a Wynford fan I felt like refs were helping Wynford by calling a ton of “ticky-tac” fouls. Still a big home win for Wynford, especially after the loss to Bucyrus. Stone with only 2 pts is just hard to believe.

Pretty handily by the way Easy statement to make. 17 games ago, Upper was the better team. Willard is vastly improved, Upper is not. If Willard beats the Sailors, they deserve the #1 seed. Regardless, I dont think its a big deal....1 or 2 seed.

juju, maybe the coaches will feel differently. 1 or 2 is virtually the same. Personally I feel Willard is playing better basketball right now. Once tournament starts records and seeds mean nothing. Best team that particular night wins.

You can’t really say they are playing better basketball when you compare the strength of schedules. Uppers conference and out of league games are prepping them very well for the tournament. Willard’s games on the other hand as other people on this forum have said are not.

Upper with 3 of the 12 wins against a team with a winning record, one being against Willard on the opening night. Yep that N10 is downright brutal.

Willard has played against Wynford and buckeye central. Resulted in win by 7 and 8 to 2 of the worst teams in the N10. If Willard was in the N10 they would place 5th or 4th at best.

Usually, I'm all for head-to-head winner getting higher seed. But, the way Willard has ascended and Upper regressed (plus game was very 1st of year), I tempted to put Flashes at higher seed.

It really doesn't matter, #1 or #2. IF both are as good as advertised they won't have a problem with another team and will meet in the District Finals. Arguing over #1 or #2 is silly.

Willard 14-3 Upper 12-4 Western Reserve 12-4 Carey 9-6 Oak Harbor 9-7 New London 8-8 Huron 8-8 Wynford 5-13 Crestview 3-15 Bucyrus 4-14 Lakota 1-16
Huge game for Willard Friday night, Western plays St Paul who almost beat them last time around, Carey loss to wynford then wynford getting beat by Crestline is strange, Top 3 are tough teams with 4-8 all being able to beat each other or maybe even pull off a big upset?
