Nice to see the matchup pages and schedules up Question for CEO, when it comes to the 2 non-division teams that we play once per season and the 3 non-division teams we play twice per season, due you rotate those each year? (not that anyone would notice if you didn't, I have no idea who I only played once last year) no you guys just fixed it enough to screw me out of playing Pronk too many times :+( if i recall correctly

Yeah, it’s unfortunate that ESPN doesn’t allow the rostering of Minors players.
I just double checked to make sure ESPN didn’t add it this year, and it doesn’t look like they added that feature.
As long as we’re at ESPN, this seems to be the best way. Check Active, check Minors.
Obviously moving site will result in us losing the league history.
All in all, the current system has worked for 5 years without many disputes.

As long as we’re at ESPN, this seems to be the best way. Check Active, check Minors Plus "check minors adds thread" if you want to be completely thorough (as there can be a lag between adds and the minors spreadsheet getting updated) Our system works ok for the most part, though can be a pain in the butt if you need to make a move real quick. I know I've had some "is this guy on a minors roster? ...not quite sure but there's a good chance he is and I don't have time to look it up right now....looks like we're adding CC Sabathia again" type moments There was one season where I tried using the watch list to flag minors roster players, but it had limited value since you could only add like 15 guys to that. I'm trying it again this year, as it looks like there's no limit on the updated site (or I haven't reached it yet)

Post by CEOSouth on Mar 20, 2019 11:08:25 GMT -5
It would be great if I could somehow flag the minors players on FA, like the watch list thing.
I tried the same thing with the watch list last year

On this topic, so far my biggest gripe about the site update is what they've done to the search, compare and add players features. They all now require more clicking and page loading than before.

I have a minors question-
Carter Stewart was drafted so i took him in minor draft last summer. But he didnt sign and went to college. Can we still keep him? I didn't bc didnt wanna wait 8 years for a guy.
Is he still rosterable?

Sithbucknut77’s Annual NOSF Dynasty League Predictions - 2019 Edition
Welcome back to season 6 of the NOSF dynasty league! Wow…6 years is pretty amazing considering the variety of locations we live in and we only know all of us from the message board. Now I know that statement isn’t factually correct anymore, #RIP TL23/PRONK. While we have high hopes for his replacement SOX, he hasn’t started out the greatest. A Red Sox fan? Really? I suppose we should be happy he’s not a Yankee’s fan. Good luck to SOX this year, you’re going to need it with the roster you started with.
This year’s team previews will be presented in alphabetical order so the same team doesn’t come last as usual. Many questions abound this year. Will that previously predicted REDS offense actually be near the tops in the league? Can SOX be competitive? Will BROW make the Astro’s like leap to the postseason? Who makes the playoffs? I think someone has made the postseason a few years in row but I can’t remember who.
The following SITH predictions are calculated after thousands of simulations based off team rosters directly after the completion of the draft. Current predictions to take into account the vast range of managerial skills, or lack thereof, within the league. Now for your reading pleasure this year’s NOSF dynasty league projections, where all projections are 100% correct 50% of the time.
BROW – The roster makeover looks nearly complete. From one of the oldest to now one of the youngest rosters has BROW primed to make serious gains in the standings, and he still has multiple “active roster” caliber players down on the farm! No one player stands out but the aggregate projects very well.
BELL – 2018 was a struggle for BELL. The roster severely underperformed expectations opening the door just a crack to see if it’s fishing season. BELL made some pretty good additions during the draft that should net significant improvements on the offensive side. Pitching should be improved as well but still will probably be bottom half of the league.
CEO – This will certainly be a transitional year for the commissioner. I think losing Kershaw was a blessing in disguise but the loss of Rizzo will be a huge impact. Throughout the changes, pitching will still be the strength that carries him this year. That offense however will need addressed if CEO is going to compete for the post season and for once the minor roster is lacking in those top end prospects. Speaking of prospects, odds for one of CEO’s prospects croaking 7/1.
DRT – DRT was one of my worst misses last year for predictions. His managerial expertise more than doubled the projected win total! And somehow was able to build the best minor roster in the league while building a winner. The only thing that could hold this team back this year is the lack of pitching. There is great pitching on the roster just not very many arms, he could struggle competing in the counting stats. But the good news is, there are plenty of prospects on the farm he can deal from.
REDS – So much for last season’s championship prediction. I don’t see anything that gets me excited. The roster is just about as bland as a white car. Another year of the same unless he makes some kind of splash to overhaul the roster.
SITH – Lack of consistency and poor pitching staff’s is SITH’s mo. Offense should be ok even without speed. But the pitching staff philosophical change will be the key indicator to performance this year. If it fails, it will be one of the most spectacular failures we’ve seen.
SOX – I feel soooo bad…not really. The starting point of this roster is so terrible that expectations are as low as they can get. With that said, I have been pleasantly surprised by SOX’ draft picks. The offensive side could be fairly competitive some weeks. No surprise but he pitching staff still needs work but that is to be expected. The real key to improvement will come from SOX’ ability to make a deal that helps the roster not hurt it like the previous owner.
STRO – STRO’s made some nice gains last year and outperformed expectations. Has he made enough improvements to make that next step and get to the championship week? Not from this prognosticators point of view. STRO should be able to lock up a few pitching categories with the double barreled arms of Mad Max & deGrom and the offense is top heavy. Improvements to depth should pay immediate dividends.
TESL – This is stage team to evaluate. There is monster power to spare but every other category is middle of the road. With the improvements of other teams in the division, competing for the post season will be a challenge with the current roster. There are however several big time prospects that could be dealt to “win” now or he can slow play it to compete next year.
TIG – TIG has put together a well-rounded offense without that “big star”. But well-rounded offenses don’t win ‘ships unless the pitching is lights out. In TIG’s case, the pitching is undermanned. It’s probably a good thing SOX is in the same division to get a few cheap ones to artificially inflate the win totals.
And now the presentation of the predicted standings and postseason participants!
National American
DRT 143-97 BROW 174-66
CEO 134-106 SITH 141-99
REDS 104-136 STRO 129-111
TESL 109-131 TIG 115-125
BELL 92-148 SOX 59-181
Playoffs
BROW(1) over CEO(4)
SITH(3) over DRT(2)
Championship
BROW over SITH
Thanks for reading, any complainants can be directed to the management.

This is awesome 👏👏👏 well done! He does this every year and we always look forward to it. Not always the most accurate things though . I can't remember how I did in comparison to the first 3 years of predictions, but I do remember that: - in 17 I was predicted to finish last in my division, and I ended up making it to the title matchup - in 18 I was predicted to make the playoffs, and I proceeded to finish with the 2nd worst winning percentage in the 5 year history of this league, 2nd only to the one the team you just inherited put up the same season.

one thing i always say about this league and i will re-iterate it after looking back over the draft, my manifesto, and some conversations with sith...
...there is NO SUCH THING as a sleeper in this league...if you are on a guy so are 3-4 other owners and you better draft him if you want him like right now
