While I don't think this 2019 version is as good as the 2001 version of the Flashes,,but the make up of the team and their roles are pretty similar. Fey 6'7--Skeeter Loar 5'8--Brevon Dials 6'--Cooper Ditz 6'1--Pinkston Strance 6'1---Triplett Bench: Sanders,Barrison,Stephens,,,,,,,,,,,Holiday, Dawson, Sowers, Paxton The style of play is very similar. At D3 instead of D2 makes a big difference,,although a potential rematch of OG and Willard is certainly possible.

That 2006 game is still the best game I’ve ever watched. The Kates Gymnasium was rocking that night

Ironic you put Fey and Baldridge together obviously by height , as I was thinking earlier this season that I hope Baldridge can develop like him. I don’t know what year it was for Fey, Sophomore or Junior, but he came back a completely different player one year. It was obvious that he put in a tremendous amount of work in the summer. Instead of being a player that relied on his size, he became a player that could pull up from anywhere, over anyone and deadeye knock them down. It seemed like he became a phenomenal player out of nowhere over the course of an offseason. Dials gets a lot of credit those years and Fey seems to get overlooked more and more as time goes by, but in reality, they were quite the 1-2 punch. I’m hoping Baldridge can do the same this offseason. He’s got the size a lot of players dream about, and if he can develop his skills more, a Scholarship is certainly possible, maybe even at a D1 school, but, as with most all high school sports, it is obviously heavily dependent on how much work he puts in. 6’7 definitely has given him a head start

Fey from Soph to Jr went up like mad,,and again the following year. Many games as a Junior was the best player we had. Tailed off a fuzz late in the season,,,but as a Senior he tore it up again.
The thing I like about this 2019 team,,,we can hurt you in a lot of ways. All 5 starters really bring something to the table,,,it's been awhile since that's been the case. And a bench that can help as well.

Like the post.......Warrensville is out, got beat last night, however, Wheelersburg is in....which we played in '84 in Columbus.

I believe that 2001 team also went to bowling green for regionals to get down to state. Fey is one of my all time favorite players. Could do it all.

That 01 Willard team you thought was going to get back to Cbus before Dials graduated but never did. In 03 they lost to Bellevue who fell to OG at BG. Then Dials senior year they ran into the Politz twins and OG in a regional semi. So in Dials career the Flashes went 2-3 in regional and State games falling twice to WBL foes in 00 & 03 and failing to get to regionals his Junior year. Followed up by Langhurst's four years which in 03 ended in a regional semi loss, then in 04 ended in regional semi loss, then as a junior they fell to Norwalk at Districts and as a senior in 06 they lost to ASVSM in a regional final. So in his career they went 1-3 at regionals with no state appearances. Also neither one ever lost to an eventual state champion in the tournament. So Question of the Willard folks who had the better career in your opinion...

Like buckeyekid said, all backhanded jabs at Langhurst and Dials but yet you’ll come back with some way of defending it and saying we took it out of context. And the beat goes on...

I've heard wide ranging "versions".

Fey was 6-7 ... and no back handed jabs just a question for Willard folks above is all. Not sure what was a jab, or even could be taken as oh well welcome to NOLIWARP... Great 7 year run for the Flashes... Buckeye what was laughable about the question? Asking those that watched every Fri/Sat
