I wouldn't disagree that Norwalk had a good opportunity last night to pull the upset. Turnovers hurt, but South had alot to do with those turnovers (quickness and length). Neither team shot the ball well, likely a combination of good defense and new surroundings with a different shooting background. I feel like Norwalk would win 2 or 3 meetings with South if they played 10 times, and last night was one of those chances.

Shawnee is a experienced team that plays a good schedule with a mix of styles from opponents that may help. They are a physical team that can defend and score quick. Should be a good one.

i think Norwalk let a golden opportunity slip through their fingers. I picked them to win by 3 in OT because I thought they were playing well. I know a little about the Columbus City League teams. Undisciplined and can be had by the right teams. Norwalk caught them on the right night I think for an upset. I expect Shawnee to beat them. I agree as I said previously I believe the region overall was not strong this year. The WBL is down and our district was down a little also. However it didn’t happen but Norwalk played well and that will help them next year.

Norwalk's recruiting budget has more money in it that Willard's so we'll see what happens. lol
We should have a good battle next year. And I agree, it will make Willard better for it.

I hate to be a downer but Norwalk can't afford any recruits next year as the football team broke the Norwalk advertising budget for the next few years with the recruitment of the Leroux brothers.

South goes 0-7 from 3 South goes 15-24 from the FT line These guys lost right? Not sure where your going with this post but this is nothing new for a Norwalk opponent... Ontario, Vermillion and Cbus South go 9-58 from 3. ALL 3 shoot well below 50% from the field. All poor shooting teams/nights??? I don’t think it is coincidence, but more about the opponents D... And South and Ontario's defense had a great deal to do with Norwalk winning in triple over time and losing.

And when it's lacking you lose by 21 to a team shorter and not as athletic.

And South and Ontario's defense had a great deal to do with Norwalk winning in triple over time and losing. Yep, it works both ways. Norwalk was not a team that pounded teams by 20+. Even against average teams the margins were not blowouts. So the fact that they played some close games that were based on ball control was not surprising. It's no insult to say they had 1 good player and a supporting cast that did their job.

South easily downs Shawnee 64-47 advancing to Columbus. Regional goes about as I expected other than Norwalk pushing South to limit in the semi. Good luck to a very well coached South squad next weekend.

Wow, I figured the WBL rep would be a little more competitive.

Wow, I figured the WBL rep would be a little more competitive. They were very competitive, but South played them man for man and Shawnee did not have someone score 16 points over their average being left open due to triple teaming another player.

South probably makes it to the finals, which Norwalk probably could of made it also if won (coulda shoulda) but that Trotwood-Madison team is destroying everyone in its path, whom they would see in the finals. TM`s wins 87-27 83-38 95-38 108-86 92-62 92-44

Brandon Haraway was caught with marijuana possession, what will Ashland do about this? For a "Concerned Parent" to go out their way to post a police report about a misdemeanor charge is ridiculous in so many ways. Try not to sit up on your high horse and act like you or your child are perfect! We all make mistakes ,so this is an attempt at a smear campaign on your part or just plain JEALOUSY! And if you're concerned about what Asland's gonna do? They're standing by their athlete. So now that you know more on the situation, hope you're able to climb down from your high horse to catch a few Ashland basketball games next year! And if your're still concerned you can call me ,I'll be glad to talk with you. JT Read more: ncoast.proboards.com/thread/2206/norwalk-basketball?page=1#ixzz5j6bSsRD2

Once can be called a mistake, if you get caught twice for marijuana it's more than a mistake.

For many, the high school years are time of experimentation, with alcohol, marijuana, and cigarettes. I'm a successful adult who has smoked marijuana on/off for the last 50 years. I don't condone the behavior of the high school kids, but not trying to punish or define them either. Why are we on a sports forum discussing this kids bad choices? He's 18 year olds. He doesn't have to have everything figured out. I'm sure he is going to suffer the consequences of his actions through the courts and parents.
