Average number of Power 5 Opponents - higher the number the tougher
10.0 Big XII (100 P5 opponents for the 10 teams)
9.8 Pac 12 (118 P5 opponents for the 12 teams)
9.7 Big Ten (136 P5 opponents for the 14 teams)
9.4 ACC (132 P5 opponents for the 14 teams)
9.2 SEC (129 P5 opponents for the 14 teams)
Average number of FCS opponents - lower the number the tougher
0.3 Big Ten (4 FCS opponents for the 14 teams)
0.7 Pac 12 (8 FCS opponents for the 12 teams)
0.9 Big XII (9 FCS opponents for the 10 teams)
1.1 ACC (15 FCS opponents for the 14 teams)
1.1 SEC (15 FCS opponents for the 14 teams)
Teams with 11 P5 opponents
1 - Big Ten (Purdue)
1 - ACC (Boston College)
1 - Big XII (West Virginia)
1 - Pac 12 (Stanford)
0 - SEC
Teams with a pathetic 8 P5 opponents
none - Big Ten
none - ACC
none - Big XII
none - Pac 12
2 - SEC (Mississippi State & Arkansas)
Oh and if you look at the schedule expect Georgia and Alabama to both make the Invitational again.
2019 Committee making the case for Georgia on 1 hand
2019 Committee - Georgia beat 7-5 Miss St that's a quality win
2019 Committee - Purdue only went 6-6 that's not quality
Common fan - Purdue played 11 P5 games and went (5-6) and Miss St only played 8 and went (3-5), switch schedules and Miss St is 5-7 and Purdue is 8-4.
2019 Committee - We can only look at the numbers, we can't assume P5 teams are better than Group of 5 teams
2019 Committee making the case to exclude a Group of 5 on the other hand
2019 Committee - UCF only beat 3 P5 teams so we don't really care that they are undefeated
Common fan - Wait didn't you just say that you can't assume P5 is better than Group of 5 when trying to pump up SEC schedules
^^^ Oh wait, eSECpn never asks that question
2019 Committee - It's great that eSECpn never calls us out on our hypocrisy, ha ha ha, we got this so rigged
