This will be the first matchup between these schools since 2010. Anyone have the all time numbers for this series? Kieth?

I think it's along the lines of 36-18-3 in favor of Ross. Ten of Columbian's wins have been since 1986.

I don't think Ross can score from what I've seen.

I don't think Ross can score from what I've seen. I realize just a scrimmage, but Ross didn't look good at all against Northview, which by accounts, will finish bottom third in the NLL.

Tiffin might roll in this one, I have also heard Fremont struggles to move the ball, which will not bode well in their conference play

My gut feeling says 24-7, Columbian. But, the Little Giants have humbling proven me wrong in the past.

Friday's meeting will be the 57th between the two teams in a series that began in 1907. Ross leads all-time, 36-18-2. Columbian won the last meeting in 2010, 40-21.
I may not post much, but when I do you can be sure it will alway be in support of the Little Giants. GO ROSS!

Ross returns 1 starter on Offense, and 4 on Defense which includes a very good DT heading to BGSU. A Frosh will start at QB whom beat out a Jr and Sr for this position. Also, new OC that I assume is Coach Gilbert.

Columbian 33-21 I think columbians speed will be a problem, plus they will be building off a great season last year! Excited to see what the tornadoes can do this season!

After reading/hearing Long's comments on BCSN/Sandusky Register, it looks like I wasn't too far off my rocker, after all. That includes going with a Frosh QB when I suggested to play for the future after Week 8 last season.

That's funny, Ottney was quarterback at Fremont Ross (offensive coordinator for TC).

I'll buy just about any reason Tiffin will win but it won't be due to speed. That actually may be to TC's disadvantage in this matchup but obviously it takes more than this to win football games.

Sounded like it was a REAL tough night for them little giants... That being said .. Great game Tiffin .. Too bad Clyde wouldn’t Fremont in the SBC cause this game goes to prove that the upper SBC can play with Fremont... I didn’t go but I did listen and sounds like Tiffin is gonna be the ones to beat in the SBC .. Congratulations!!

I didn’t go but I did listen and sounds like Tiffin is gonna be the ones to beat in the SBC .. Congratulations!! It isn't about if the SBC Lake can play with Fremont. That's such a big misconception. The Lake is very competitive as it is. Why add another competitive program that is so much larger than everyone else? Because it benefits Fremont? It does not benefit anyone else in the Lake. Seven teams is usually more challenging than six when it comes to scheduling, especially when you are a good program like many in the Lake. It looks good on the map and some area fans like it - that doesn't mean much to those making the decisions, IMO.

I thought it was interesting TC punched one in with a minute left. At any rate, I thought Ross did a solid job hanging around until they were worn down, which sadly, is becoming a Fremont trademark. Also, I did like Tiffin's swag; that's a confident bunch of Tornadoes. I was amused by coaching staff's enthusiasm as well. See you Week 10 at Whitney which promises to be a showdown.

Your quite right, we were in the game at half down 14 to 7.Our first year wrs had drops bad snaps that can be corrected.Kaden holmes is a dual threat qb he has nice wheels and arm .Were offensively built around him which is fine.He runs alot. Will only get better as will our young line.Coach long is buying this year with kaden might as well play him.Get experience be here for 4 years. We will be alright .

I went to this game thinking some were going to complain about Ross starting a Frosh QB, and I wasn't disappointed. If he stays humble, and h keeps team in mind, I think it'll be alright. The season was going to be down anyway, so may as well play for the future.

And why is that that freshman and sophomores have to play? Well the Ross program has been sad for along time and will not get better. The senior class was great in jr high with over 50 boys in 7th grade, They just never got coached up to be better. I seen many game and many young player that played just quit. They lack discipline from the top and have to many off the street assistant coaches. I watch last week game and I was sad for Fremont. I hope Im wrong because I would love to watch Ross win again.
