Admittedly, I don't know much about some of the N10 team's opponents in week 1. So here are my "guesses" in bold. Thoughts, comments, predictions are welcome.
Buckeye Central vs. Crestline - BC returns some experience and size. Bucyrus vs. Galion - Bucyrus improved, but not enough Carey at Leipsic - Carey always has talent Colonel Crawford vs. Mount Gilead - CC is inexperienced but has some talent. Mohawk vs. Lakota - my only reason is Mohawk is defending N10 champ. Seneca East vs. Margaretta - SE is the N10 pre-season favorite of many people. Upper Sandusky vs. River Valley - Upper upset RV last year, hoping for the same this year. Wynford at Liberty-Benton - Wynford with something to prove this year

Does Buckeye Central brake their 22 game losing skid this week?

I’d agree with your picks Fb fan other than i’d take Crestline over BC and Liberty Benton over wynfotd. Also wouldn’t be shocked to see Mt. Gilead give CC all it wants. I think the Eagles pull it out though.

Buckeye central returns size? Seen one of their scrimmages and they are tiny and we're handled by a team that didn't win a game last year. Sorry, but looks like 0-10.

QB 6-4, 216 TE 6-4, 198 OL 6-1, 250 5-11, 252 6-5, 325 6-1,229 5-10, 201 How much size do you need? Roster is tiny at 25 (includes 8 freshmen). All those guys playing every down is BC's problem. Crestline is in same situation. Will be a good game.

I hope you're right, but 9-1 in week one is kind of a homer %. I could see 3 games going either way. First games can be tough to handicap.

I've already told our head coach several times that if he ever loses to Bucyrus that I'll expect his resignation before he gets back to the locker room.

Of course, as most people know, being in the "RED" usually means being in a "DEFICIT"; which clearly held true this evening ! ! !

Or maybe cc should start sharing my Gilead with the rest of the conference MG used to be a decent opening game for CC. Until last year they were D5, one division above CC, and until the last couple of years could be counted on for a few 2nd level points. The contract is up and wasn't renewed for next year and they are off CC's schedule. Perhaps Bucyrus will take your suggestion and then Galion will have to search for a new tomato can two divisions below them.

Bucyrus and Galion have been playing for like 100 years quit acting like we just scheduled them last year. Also, up until this season I believe that they were just 1 division below us. Have they been pretty bad for a while? Obviously yes. But it was not that long ago when we were in the same position that they are now. That’s the nature of high school sports at most public schools.

I get the tradition thing. And the nature of high school sports at public schools. It's that nature that makes scheduling down in weeks 2 and 3 in addition to week 1, questionable.

Have they been pretty bad for a while? Obviously yes. But it was not that long ago when we were in the same position that they are now. That’s the nature of high school sports at most public schools. Even though Galion has won the past 11 games, they only lead the series by 15, which means their was a time when it truly was a great match. I participated in three of those games, each nail biters, and had the pleasure of beating the Tigers twice. However, times are different now. Bucyrus is a shrinking school that is completely land locked, and loses a large number of their students to Wynford and Crawford. They will only get smaller . The can’t field separate teams for freshmen, 7 or 8 th grades. Actually, this was the year that Bucyrus might have had a chance, and you posted yourself how Galion could have even scored more. If they were not competive this year, then unless the wheels completely fall off for Galion, the games will continue to be one sided. I would love to see Bucyrus rebuild their program, but it is going to take a long time, and getting your lunch handed to you each year in week one does not help. It is time to do what is best for both schools....go their separate ways.

I’m not completely sure how scheduling Upper Sandusky is scheduling down. I realize their football program is down right now but Galion has played them every year since 1944 with the exception of 2015, 2016, and 2017. I would totally agree I’d like them to schedule tougher in week 2 though. Ever since the beat down by Madison in 2014, they have been afraid to schedule anyone bigger or tougher. I don’t agree with it at all especially since it appears they have already renewed Carey.

Surely, Galion knew the state of Upper's program when they resumed playing them, and they knew they had Bucyrus also. If Galion views Upper as a rivalry that must be maintained along with Bucyrus, so be it, and that's two weeks left to the "nature of high school sports" as to whether you are benefited or harmed by your schedule. That makes the other non conference week very important.

That makes the other non conference week very important. Why? Galion's not a football powerhouse. Why schedule like we are? Other than Pleasant, who is D5, everyone else in the conference is D4 with Harding being D2. Quite frankly, given our numbers and depth it's more important for us to head into conference play as healthy as possible.
