Perhaps Norwalk tradition carries Truckers to title. I think will be better than some expect.

Speaking of Norwalk, their schedule is whacked. Top heavy beginning of year with home games, then road heavy later. Never seen that before when league tries to balance the schedule.

My prediction is 1- Sandusky ( most talent in the SBC) 2-Norwalk (Haraway graduating will hurt, Long football run could affect there season, also if the starters don't do all the scoring there in trouble) 3-Clyde ( plays hard , wins games the shouldn't) 4-Tiffin (return some talent from last year that got better end of the year. long football run could also affect them.) 5-Perkins ( not sure what they have left) 6-Bellevue ( because I heard there best player is not playing and its Bellevue) The girls team will be the draw there. 7-Vermilion ( they lost everyone , real young and not good) Marshall's not playing hoops? Late to the party here. Is Marshall playing?

Late to the party here. Is Marshall playing? Reports say no. Wonder what the reasoning behind this was? Was a pretty solid player/athlete for them last year.

Much easier to play for a winning team sport than a losing team sport.
Does Marshall have a football scholarship?

I have heard he has had some offers. So odd that he has always played basketball and not football and then this year just the reverse. It's too bad because he is a solid player would have done many good things for Bellevue this year. Also seems like this year numbers are down in basketball all over the place with many teams not having freshman teams, Bellevue and Port Clinton are two of them that do not.

They lost their first game to Clear Fork, other than that I have no idea. They graduated an awesome senior class but their JV was very good and had a couple of good juniors that contributed last year.

They return no starters and the highest contributing underclassman from last year played maybe a quarter a game last year but has not been cleared from a football injury. They also had a 6 kids from last years Jv team decided not to play basketball and dedicate their time to soccer and football. From what I saw at Clear Fork they will be average at best, if they can improve.

So we already don’t believe that they are ,what a regional level team Because I believe Norwalk who lost in the regional semi is as far as a Lake team has gone or am I forgetting something???

I am just saying overall I don't believe that this years teams are as good as they have been the past few years, I get Norwalk and Sandusky are decent teams , but there both not as deep, both have lost very talented players who carried there teams in some cases, I get they may win a couple of games in the tourney but I don't see a regional level team this year. Again its early and they will need to pass the eye test, but they really don't have the teams on there schedule this year that challenge them like in years past except there conference. We'll but that is my early observation. I think the firelands has a couple team who would challenge a few SBC teams. Sandusky has a player that can carrie them , but I believe Norwalk will have to really on more than 1.

Norwalk blew a lead in Shelby tonight losing 57-55. Good early season test for the Truckers still shedding those football legs. Double weekend coming up for Norwalk

I think Norwalk was up 7 with about 1:30 left. They were consistently up about 7-9 points the entire game. Shelby started out roughly 0-12 from three. Pugh was not the big scorer tonight, it was Lantz and then a very balanced team effort. I enjoyed my time tonight.
