Does Clyde get in with a win? If so, that probably gives the Lake five teams in the playoffs.

This is a weird region. Most of the teams 2-9 will probably not be favored in their last game 2.Galion plays Pleasant 7-2, 3.Wauseon playes Archbold 8-1, 4.O-G plays Wapak 8-1, 5.Bellevue plays 11.Clyde, 6.CF plays 7.Shelby, 8.Rossford plays Eastwood 9-0. 9.Triway plays Orrville 8-1. 12.Edison plays 15.Huron. Bellevue could finish 2nd or miss the playoffs depending on how the last game results.
But, I think if Clyde wins they are in. They will pass Bellevue and either Clear Fork or Shelby so they will be 6th. If Rossford and Triway win (unlikely) that drops them to 8th. Possibly Edison could pass them and knock Clyde to 9th.

I'm thinking Bellevue's win over Sandusky was enough to get the Redmen into Postseason.

I'm thinking Bellevue's win over Sandusky was enough to get the Redmen into Postseason. Joe Eitel thinks differently.

Makes me curious exactly which dominos need to fall where to bring about that 4% chance of us being left out. Especially since Eitel does not list us as controlling our own destiny.

I'm not sure but, I think this might be one scenario: 1. Bellevue loses and finishes with about 16.35 pts. (We need Sandusky and PC to win to boost the level 2 points) 2. All the teams above us win. 3. CF or Shelby win-so the winner passes us. 4. Rossford and Triway win and finish with 18 and 17 points 5. So, we've now dropped from 5th to 8th. Clyde will finish with between 15.65 and 18.4. That average is 17 so they could pass us (They probably need Perkins and Ashland to win to help their level 2 points). If Edison wins they could get to between 16.3 and 18.4-average is 17.3 (they want WR and Firelands to win). It appears that if Huron wins their max is 16.2 which may not catch Bellevue. As noted, it's doubtful all these dominoes fall like this since many of these teams have really tough last games. But, it would be cool if Bellevue could eliminate the drama and beat Clyde.

Joe Eitel thinks differently. Pasteur is confident. At least 96%. I am too. It would be a miracle if Bellevue does not make the playoffs. I was pointing out that it's not a lock.

Regarding Sandusky/Perkins, we're guaranteed to get points from that game, and it would actually be better if Perkins won (D3 2nd level points instead of D4)

I think I misread your comment. You are asking how Bellevue doesn't make the playoffs if they win. Oops. Yea, I don't understand why they aren't in the Win and they're in category. If they get the lowest points on Eitel's website with a win -18.95. There are only 7 teams with points higher than 18.95 if they win. Edison's max is 18.225. I don't know the formula used for the 2nd level points. Maybe Bellevue can get lower than 18.95 if everything goes against them? Can Shelby and CF tie? I didn't think so. It seems like Eitel's website might be wrong-Bellevue should be "control own destiny".

I agree. I would think that if Bellevue wins, they're in, meaning they control their own destiny. I don't think it is a 100% lock that they are in, regardless of what happens on Friday.

I think Bellevue will win this region if they get in. No private powers to worry about and I think they have had a tougher league slate than the others. Would like to see a matchup with Galion.
Fri game... Clyde may have trouble rebounding from last weeks gut wrencher. They have turned the ball over too much and special teams mistakes have cost them. I would squib kick to Bellevueš

I would squib kick to Bellevueš Kritz, we donāt have a returner like Norwalk and Sandusky. Not positive on the streaks starting field position but it had to be atleast their own 40 because of squib kicks and I emphasize the word ATLEAST. donāt expect the fliers to have any trouble rebounding from last week. Playoff spot on the line for Clyde and āa chanceā at a home game week 11 for the Redmen will have these two battling. Even if there was nothing on the line itās bragging rights in a week 10 rival game. GO REDMEN!!

I think I've figured out that Bellevue is in if they beat Clyde. Worst case is they finish with 19.3167 (15.667+.5(level 1)+2.75(level 2 from Clyde 27.5/10)+ .5 (Sandusky beats Perkins-D4). I don't see anyway Edison can exceed 19.3167 by beating Huron even if all the teams they beat also win. I have their max as 18.395 (which is close to Eitels max of 18.225). I think the Eitel calculation does not take into account that Clear Fork and Shelby play each other so he has both those teams passing Bellevue. Obviously that can't happen but his algorithm does not allow for that. He says so in this disclosure joeeitel.com/hsfoot/playoffStatus.txtFrom the link above- "It is important to reiterate that this algorithm is a simple one that only compares the minimum and maximum possible averages with other teams in the region. It assumes that it is possible for all teams in a region to win their remaining games, or for all teams in a region to lose their remaining games. It does not take into consideration a case where 2 teams in a region will play each other, in which case only 1 will win, and 1 will lose."

Bellevue still has a chance if they lose to Clyde. I think they will finish with 17.1667 points (assumes Sandusky, University and Start all win). Clyde will pass Bellevue and finish with 17.55 points. Rossford and Triway will probably lose since they play teams with better records. CF or Shelby will pass Bellevue depending on who wins. If Edison beats Huron I think they will get to 16.897 points so they will finish 8th and Bellevue will be 7th.
However, if Shelby beats CF and then Start loses to Woodward and University loses to East Tech both CF and Edison could pass Bellevue and knock them out of the playoffs if certain things happen. Basically Lexington (3-6) has to beat River Valley (6-3) to help CF. Edison beat Woodward so if they beat Start that will probably give them enough points to pass Bellevue.
So Bellevue is probably in if they win or lose but it will be close if they lose.

Should be a slobber knocker. I like that the game has been at the end of the year. Not sure if future schedules will rotate or not. Clyde hasn't been able to pull ahead in the three close games that they have lost, but they have not just laid down and died. These are the types of games we should live for as fans and community supporters. Bellevue has won three years in a row, Clyde the previous three. Hoping for a Clyde victory. Go Big C!

My understanding Bellevue is only playing for a home game in the playoffs.(and bragging right LOL) They are in win or lose! I also heard we are now with out both our starting LB. And the one we lost last week is also our feature running back. (besides our QB) Bellevue will be ready to battle either way. A home playoff game is big for any high school. Go Big Red.

Norwalk will get a guaranteed .5 to its average regardless, but the inner Redmen in me wants a Bellevue victory. Having said this, best of luck to both. It has developed into a great rivalry these past 25 years

Canāt get any better for the Redmen tonight than the chance to end their rivals season. Motivation enough for me let alone the chance to get a home playoff game if all falls right.
GO REDMEN!!!

Here's the Route 20 football. I see they got a new plaque for the scores since the other one ran out of space. Looks like they now have enough space through 2032.
