Senior nor Sandusky travel well so Willard may be just fine. Geographically it's ideal. I am hearing that Willard has prior commitments and may not be available to host next week. My best guess is this game goes somewhere else.

where do you guys think Mansfield and Sandusky will play? Tiffin, Bellevue or Ashland? I’d say Ashland or Willard before Bellevue. Won’t be Ashland. Drove by yesterday and they have already started replacing the turf.

Sandusky did this in the playoffs last year. When you have a perennial stud in Stewart, come on man.
I called 17-16, I was off.

So Willard and Ashland not available. Hmmm. Tiffin then? Makes most sense but that's assuming they're available. Usually a good fit for many other games.
Next would be Bellevue or Clyde? Or something east, near 71? Madison would seem crazy but is there a bigger advantage for Sandusky to play at Bellevue (15 miles vs 45 miles) for the third time this year or Senior to play in Mansfield at Madison (7 miles vs 56 miles)...or is it similar?

Stark contrast between those photos of Sandusky practicing in the snow under the lights and these reports of Norwalk going to the pool and driving all the way to Avon to use an indoor facility

When I was driving past our football field this week I was wondering how these playoff teams practice in a week full of crap mid November weather. It appears as though Sandusky made the wise choice. Albeit not the more fun one for the players.

Albeit not the more fun one for the players. 2013 we played coldwater at Findlay in the regional finals late nov. 2013 it was 13 degrees at kickoff...wind chill was negative.. practiced all week outside and it was freezing... what made it even worse is they hit us with 60 points that night... long miserable night...

If you've noticed, I haven't posted much this week here, nor Yappi. As far as some of stuff mentioned, yes, I was uneasy seeing Sandusky practicing under the lights while snowing then Norwalk didn't practice and/or inside in Avon. I support our staff, but hindsight says we goofed

If I were coach Fox, I’d hold you Jake partially responsible for Norwalk’s head swell and egg laying last night.

And, of those 5 articles, 2 were from the Register regarding the Streaks. I post articles for reading and potential discussion, and also it beats the generic ttt.

I think this was Franklins best coaching performance since he’s been the head coach at Sandusky.

People forget Sandusky’s win over #1 seeded Avon in 2010. That’s still one of Sanduskys best games in the Franklin coaching era

Interesting that we have 2 years in a row where two teams won the Lake co-title, while two different Lake teams went on to play in the regional championship round

Plus during those weeks you are not exactly playing teams that are not well coached or don't have some pretty good people. In the Lake, you have a big ten recruits, MAC players and some very talented kids who maybe studs in other sports. Very deep conference.

Franklin had an answer for everything Norwalk did Friday night and I think it started Monday. Sandusky shivered it out in the cold and snow during the week to practice while Norwalk lounged pool side and practiced in a cushy indoor facility. I believe that struck a nerve with Sandusky and they used it for motivation. I heard a couple Sandusky coaches and players during warm ups referencing the pool and the kids seemed to respond to it.

you do realize norwalk did the same thing last year, right? towards the end of the season they always went swimming on mondays and had numerous times when they practiced in their turfed complex. let's give sandusky credit for playing a very good game.

I can understand limiting practice time outside last week but to not have at least 2 practices outside for some work is confusing.
I bet if they HC did it over, he would handle last week differently. As for the pool, I don’t know enough details. For example, I’ve been around coaches for a Monday practice which included film and conditioning with no on field time. Tuesday/Wednesday were always the heavy practices and then Thursday was dialed down with a lot of special teams work, scripted plays, and light conditioning.

Practice schedules sound right still haven't changed .When my oldest played fremont ross sr.in 2010 fremont ross would film on Monday ,condition, than Tuesdays and wednesdays were heavy.
That fremont vs Sandusky game was a war, both teams won 9 games that year, a near fight at midfield when ross came out .Alotta trash talking lol.We ended pulling away late but yeah Sandusky beat Avon but got beat by eventual state champ in maple heights Great Sandusky team in 2010.

That Maple Heights team was STACKED and so talented. Shaq Washington was unbelievable. He’s also now the HC at Maple Heights.
