Now, I'm thoroughly confused and perturbed. Try and digest this: 2019 Ohio State played at Ann Arbor. 2020 Michigan cancels their game in Columbus. (Due to a total of 9 cases of Covid 19 in their entire athletic system.) 2021 Ohio State plays at Ann Arbor, due to a revised, Big Ten scheduling 2023 Ohio State plays at Ann Arbor on November 25th. How can it happen that Ohio State plays 3 CONSECUTIVE GAMES IN ANN ARBOR??? Ohio State plays Michigan at home in 2022.

i would be fine playing them in Ann Arbor every year, just makes it that much sweeter I'm thinking of the financial benefit to ttun and lost revenue for The Ohio State University. I agree though, having a raucus 112,000 spectators growing silent in their home stadium, in the 4th quarter, is a treat.

Not to worry about THE Ohio State University athletic department. In 2020 The Ohio State athletic department had an increase in revenue and decrease in expenses.

Oregon would be fools not to play the buckeyes.

Expect a de-committment from 4* CB Dasan McCullough at anytime, due to his father being hired as an assistant coach at Indiana. Even if he elected to honor his committment to Ohio State, think it would be a bit awkward, having a player with a father on an opposing opponnt's coaching staff, especially the game week leading up to the Oct. 29th, 2022 clash in Ohio Stadium.

I saw something online yesterday where he said he’s fully committed to Ohio State and looks forward to playing against his dad. Obviously he is going to say something like that at this time but he also pretty close with CJ Hicks so he very well could stick with Ohio State.

Al Washington's decision to stay with the Buckeyes, is huge in so many respects. A great coach and a great recruiter.

A lot of money to turn down, but it's been a dumpster fire at Rocky Top for some time. An offer at a better place will come along, if he can't wait for Coombs to retire OR be retired.

Think this one came down to job security at an established, perennial football power, satisfaction and contentment with fellow coaches and players vs. increased income, but a whole wealth of uncertainties.

It will be interesting to see where Harry Miller ends up on the OL. Much like Miller, Matt Jones was one of the top prep centers in the country and will be in the mix for that position. Think Miller will do well, wherever they plug him in, but with his mobility, intelligence and supposed knowledge of the game, he may be more valuable at the guard position. Stud is certain to have perhaps, the best OL in college football and I am very excited to see Treveyon Henderson. I'm going to offer an early prediction, he will be one of the greatest RB's to ever wear a Buckeye uniform, before all's said and done. This may be one of the most explosive offenses we have seen and that's saying a lot. It may take a few games to find their comfort level and establish cohesiveness, but this offense is loaded.

Any guy in the country playing center will tell you "intelligence and knowledge of the game" is the #1 criteria for a center. He will help both guards make the right read.

Not to worry about THE Ohio State University athletic department. In 2020 The Ohio State athletic department had an increase in revenue and decrease in expenses. I think you are quoting from the 2020 fiscal report which covers the period July 2019-June 2020. An excerpt from that report is below: The Ohio State University Department of Athletics increased revenue by 11% last fiscal year and spent less even as it and the university began fighting the major impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. The department brought in $233,871,740 in fiscal year 2020, which measures July 1, 2019, to June 30, 2020, up 11% from $210,548,239 in the previous year, according to an annual financial report filed each year with the NCAA. It remains one of the largest athletic departments in the country and brought in more than it spent. The department spent $215,209,566, which is down 2.4% from $220,572,956, according to the annual report. The pandemic’s impact on the athletic department began in March 2020, and altered competition scheduled for winter and spring sports, along with practice schedules, camps, recruiting and business operations department-wide. Financial figures for the 2020-2021 academic year, including the 2020 football season, will be in the fiscal year 2021 report. That report is expected to show a significant reduction in revenue when it is released next year.

I've always been told by my coaches and other coaches, that the most important player on the field is the center. He is the first man to touch the football and every play starts through him. As WF alludes, a good center can be seen pointing out defensive alignments and positioning his guys on the line before getting set. Football knowledge is paramount.

It appears Marcus Hooker will be off the Buckeye roster for good, after receiving his second DUI arrest since 2018.

Well unfortunately for Fleming he is injured so not able to participate in spring ball. It’ll be interesting to see how it all plays out in the fall. Marvin Harrison sure looked good today though, as did Egbuka.
But after next season, Olave will be gone and most likely Wilson so there’s two spots that will open up. Is Jameson Williams a senior? If he graduates there’s another spot.

Despite all the previous hoopla on C.J., Kyle McCord is looking more and more, the guy that can lead this offense. You can just see his cool confidence in the pocket and man, I love his passes and I bet the receiving corp does as well.

After the game yesterday(which is obviously a very small sample size) I’d say the QB chart goes Stroud, McCord, Miller.
Miller looked great that very first drive until the interception. Then after that he just kinda looked average. Stroud was pretty solid all game as was McCord. I know this is a long ways off but it’s going to be real interesting when Ewers joins the team as well, Stroud still has 3 years he could possibly be the starter, then McCord and Ewers behind him.

If Ewers early enrolls he will eventually be the starter in the ‘22 season. Much like Lawrence taking over for Kelley Bryant

Wasn't overly impressed or unimpressed with CJ in general. Some of us are assuming he is the next Justin Fields and I hope that becomes the case, but that's a pretty high bar to reach. Kyle McCord on the other hand is showing great poise and precise throwing abllities, potentially the next Joe Burrow? The questions won't go away anytime soon. It will be interesting how things sort themselves out with Quinn Ewers arrival next spring. Coach Day and his staff are going to have some major challenges, in keeping everyone happy and focused on team goals.

Much like Lawrence taking over for Kelley Bryant i know he’s an absolute stud but I just really have a hard time seeing Day do that if Stroud is the starter all this season. It’s just really hard for me to see Day moving him ahead of McCord and Stroud that quickly.

I’ll say this, I’m glad I’m not Day and having to make these decisions on what to do with everyone. What would be really nice is if there was another year between McCord and Ewers.

is it just me or is it starting to look like Julian Fleming is the odd man out in the WR corps this year? Injuries. In actuality, all but the three starters are "odd man out", in the deepest and most talented WR room in college football. Even if a couple transfer it's no big deal. AND transferring is about to get a lot worse for the top programs, with the new NCAA rule allowing all college athletes one transfer for no reason, without having to sit out a year.

IMO, it really doesn't matter who the starter is, as far as wins go. The OL, WRs, TEs and RBs are so talented all the QB has to do is not make a mistake. On the other hand, who the starter is makes a HUGE difference on who transfers and when.

Impossible to keep all 4 happy. Who will be coming behind Ewers? One for sure will be transferring, unless there's a Mac Jones among them. More likely 2 will transfer as it just became much easier.
