Iowa fans emptied the stands and stormed the field. Is the NCAA going to impose another $250,000 fine? Of course, the traditional asinine 'undportsmanlike conduct' for excessive celebration against Iowa at the conclusion. The sooner they dump that moronic rule, the better. The NCAA didn’t fine Kentucky. The SEC did SO the SEC fines a school 250K if their fans rush the field AFTER the game. What will the SEC fine Tennessee for their fans throwing half full water bottles, golf balls, mustard bottles and anything else they could get their hands on, when the game was being played? Causing the both team's cheerleaders and bands to leave the field and stands for safety and delaying the game for 30 minutes? Should that be a Million Dollar fine? Nah, not in the SEC.

We shall see how consistent they are. Innocent, gleeful celebration is what the game is all about, but this is dangerous conduct, where someone could get seriously hurt. Something you might expect and have seen in the NFL. I understand their anger, it was an obviously bad spot. From all Appearances, they got the 1st down. Some got arrested on the spot and film study should reveal others for arrest.

So, what corrective action is Tennessee or any other SEC school expected to take? Armed militia? Or perhaps like Europian soccer fields, where they put high fences and locked gates separating the playing field?...lol In reality, some kind of punitive action such as eliminating beer sales.

This punishment isn’t even coming out of anyone’s pockets either. They will get 250k less from their SEC share at the end of the season which their share will still be well into the millions. Hardly a punishment.

Hardly a punishment. Probably an oversimplification. Athletic departments have budgets that are much tighter than most of us could imagine. Fixed expenses are not going to be affected, but pet projects will probably take a hit. I think the AD's could counter with a pretty convincing argument.

It's kind of like that big Christmas bonus we expect at the end of the year we plan to put down on the new inground pool. Then it doesn't come in and we get a 1-year membership to the jelly of the month club..

100k/year for UT administrators?? You wouldn't believe the number of jobs at UT that pay 100k

In actuality the income brought into athletic conferences is equally distributed back to conference schools, in one form or another.

Multiple people have reported that Josh Proctor has been practicing with the team. This is a totally unexpected turn of events and revelation. Proctor was written off as gone for the season. If I'm not mistaken, it was a torn ACL, but these turn of events point to a minor tear, not necessitating surgery.
The re-emergence of the defense, has been aided by an amazing freshman class, that have re-wrote the expected time table for meaningful play.

According to a source, 11Warriors said that Ohio State has 3 of the Top 5 true Freshmen in the country and that does not count JTT, Sawyer or any of their WRs
Bad news for ya sportsjock. According to Letterman Row reporters, after practice yesterday the young WRs stayed after practice for extra work on their own, by catching passes from the Jugs Machine. Julian Fleming wasn't one of them

I must admit to being a bit disappointed that one of the highest rated recruits in this programs history, is not producing a compelling case. I have total faith in Brian Harline and his handling of the receiving corp.

We beat out Alabama and ultimately Penn State for his services. It's up to the kid, going forward.

#3 Oklahoma is Losing 10-0 in the 2nd qtr. to (1-5) Kansas. If Kansas hangs on and wins, #3 Oklahoma should be disqualified from all playoff consideration. The Sooners have never been a Top 4 team. And #2 Cincinnati struggling with (1-5) Navy

They are not a Top 4 team. How many times has Oklahoma needed to come from behind this year? Watching Michigan, doesn't increae my pulse one bit. This is an average football team at best. My money goes on MSU next week. At end of season, they are a 3 loss team. (in typical Harbaugh fashion) Cincinnati is obviously a well coached team, but not the #2 team in the country.

I think being both teams struggled with 1-5 teams, They both played their way out of the Top (Best) 4, Especially Oklahomer. I hate to admit it, But up north should be elevated up for now.

Oklahoma escaped again, 35-23 with a late score. It's been a season of just getting by for swooners.

I wonder how Rambo is going to justify this Cincinnati game with Navy. Maybe he will just pretend it didn’t happen.
