I think Shelby will make the playoffs as long as they beat Ontario. None of the top four will be much fun to play. Perkins is beatable. Watched them scrimmage Shelby, and they don't blow me away. They are doing well in a down year for the SBC Lake but haven't played tiffin yet. has Perkins played tiffin yet?

Does anyone think there will be any upsets in the first round? Nope. Most will be blowout running clock yawners. Should be some good matchups in the second round though.

Perkins will beat Van Wert. Defense is far superior to what PC was last season and the Pirates are loaded on offense. PC smoked them in ‘21, Perkins will in ‘22. The weak competition VW runs the score up on hasn’t helped them get any better. What are they 5+ rankings points behind the Pirates and a #6 seed? C’mon, you’re just a hater. Perkins has enough points to be the 1 seed in the 3 other division IV regions. West Holmes/Glenville are the favorites. No one’s worried about Van Wert I think Shelby will make the playoffs as long as they beat Ontario. None of the top four will be much fun to play. Perkins is beatable. Thought Shelby would end up playing you in the first round and would get beat handily but instead they go to WH. Best of luck to you guys. I don't get the quick to get upset about anyone not bowing down to perkins by some perkins posters who have come out of the woodwork lately. Especially in an moac thread. Calm down, no one here is "hating." Trust me I'm no lover of Van Wert.

Believe it or not, I'm interested in the Glenville -Napoleon matchup. Wildcats have a history not backing down from anyone

Bellevue plays a more physical game of football than anyone in the MOAC. If Galion manages to hang around (like Shelby did for a while) Bellevue will eventually wear them down.

That’s sounds like a plausible scenario. No doubt the SBC Lake is more physical than the MOAC. Then again, most of the MOAC this year was explosive offenses with little defense.

I have heard that Bellevue is dealing with some bumps and bruises right not and hoping to get thru week 11 without a full roster.

Bellevue finished the season 1-3 in the last 4 weeks against solid conference opponents and really had no chance to rest. If they can get healthy this week it will be a long drive home for Galion. If not, the Tigers could be celebrating.

I enjoyed the trip to Bellevue in 2020 and am looking forward to this one too.

The Shelby game is gross. What’s the record for most turnovers in an OHSAA game? Whippets might break it tonight. Lol.

Is the MOAC a bad conference? West Holmes 49-0 in the 2nd quarter over Shelby Perkins over River Valley 49-0 in 2nd quarter. Mansfield over Ontario 31-0 in 2nd quarter. Highland losing13-0 in 2nd quarter. Galion losing to Bellevue 20-3 in 2nd quarter.
That is outscored 152-3 in the second quarter for MOAC 2nd-6th place teams.

What I saw for the MOAC this year is a lot of terrible defenses. I figured Shelby, RV, and Ontario would have running clock games. Really disappointed at Galion playing so flat. No intensity at all nor any adjustments to what Bellevue is doing. CF is the real deal, but not to the level of Glenville, VW, WH etc.

I’ve been in Shelby since 1999. I’ve seen the NOL, SBC, MOAC progression. The NOL and SBC games were way more physical. That’s probably why Shelby was dominant initially, but they are rising to the level of their competition. I’ll probably make a lot of people mad with this opinion, but I’ve been on the sidelines of a lot of games in 20+ years. Football games should be loud. Pads popping. Not so much anymore. It’s not a gentleman’s game. My comment above came true in the Galion-Bellevue game. If I make people mad it’s probably a good thing. A little anger makes for better football.

I'll eat some crow, I really thought Galion's high power offense would no match for Bellevue. How in the heck could Galion lose to a third string qb. But I will still say we will win State next year we have everyone back and our schedule got a lot easier we will go undefeated next year

Other than CF the other five teams lost and were mercy-ruled running clocks. It’s wrestling and basketball season for everyone but the Colts.

You just hit the mail on the head. The MOAC is not nearly as physical as the NOL or SBC. Shelby has an excuse for struggling this year though. Losing 20+ seniors is never an easy task.

I hope that’s it and I may be overreacting, but during the Shelby-Bellevue game this year it was very noticeable.
