Dang, seven. Good for them. I didn't find it on the MOAC website. Any idea when it will be posted officially?

Red team is now posted on the website. A couple surprises, I thought. Congratulations to all the boys.

Harding loses in 9 innings to whetstone, what a game. 3-2. Was a pretty fun season of baseball. Best of luck to the rest. Looking forward to the run JA makes.

I know this isn't baseball related..and most won't want to read this, because it's about my son...AGAIN. But I doubt many read the football posts anymore. ha! I literally just picked up my American Legion magazine I just started getting. I saw that there was an American Legion Legacy Scholarship ending in like 2 weeks. The criteria was you either had to have a parent/family member die in combat or at least have a 50% disability thru the VA. I was like what the heck I'm at 60%. Lets get this sucka filled out all they can do is pass Chase over. No biggie! It wasn't easy to fill out..photo copy this DD214..copy VA disability rating..copy FASA..have Chase do up an essay. It took me 2 days to fill out. I literally got an email today saying he was selected for a scholarship of 16,732.00. Can you believe it? I was shocked. It literally pays for one year at BW now for football. Soooo excited. I just wanted to tell you guys. I guess you can reapply for it for 6 consecutive years. Not saying you will ever get it, it's need-based then. I only applied for 2 other scholarships thru the Post Office Union too for $500 dollars each. Who would have even imagined Chase would win the American Legion Legacy Scholarship? I sure has hell didn't. LOL ***Go TIGERS..BASEBALL TEAM!

Moac football post was funnest one I've been into on here lol. Most interesting atleast. I posted on there last. But that's great news. I knew American legion did stuff like that but for someone around here to get it is pretty cool.

GT, one of the best stories on here all year. Congrats! There are literally MILLIONS of $s of scholarships that go unclaimed every year. One of the most valuable people at a high school is the person that knows about scholarships that go unclaimed and WORKS to find graduating Seniors to match with the scholarships. My daughter got a couple of really big ones. But the one I was most proud of was the one that the bar owners in Athens contribute to. It's called "The Ugliest Bartender Scholarship". The patrons at every bar vote. It has nothing to do with academics. It really means the best looking bartender. She won it a couple of times. It was only $500 a pop, but every little bit helps. I thought it was kinda cool. She is really smart and really good looking. I can't claim any of the genes.

Thanks everyone..Willard...Yeah! I thought maybe he would get like a $500 one from the local Union, because my co-worker said his son won it a couple of times. Never in my wildest dreams did I think he would win a National one. I have heard the same things you have heard..so many go unclaimed each year. I even signed up for a site that finds them for you, but there's so much time that goes into it. You just can't get a son or daughter to put for the effort and time to do all of them. I even lost interest, and you wonder if they are legit. I doubt 75% of them are.
...I loved your story about the "Ugly Bartender Scholarship"...too funny. This American Legion Scholarship..I maybe got the magazine twice now, because I just signed up for the Legion. I almost missed the deadline also. I had to go to downtown Mansfield to get my DD214, because I couldn't find it in Wooster buried in my paperwork at my old house. I struggled to find my disability papers and never did find the paper that told my reason for my disability. But did find a line in all my mass stack of paperwork stating what percentage I was at. So I guess that sufficed. It's just a crazy story how it all unfolded and to end up winning one of the scholarships. Just plain crazy.
So thanks everyone again. I'll be on every couple days to see how all your teams fared in the playoffs. Then I'll follow you guys in football once I move back to Wooster, just to read your "rants" about teams/players/parents and coaches. ha!
*** Also don't let a GPA discourage your son/daughter/nephew or niece from applying for any scholarships, my son is still sitting at a 2.27 GPA (his final GPA will be a little higher)..though he has gotten only one or 2 ..."C"'s this whole year. He's really turned it around. Soooo proud.

Just a note to any other vets out there, if you haven't done it, I would recommend you register your DD214 at your county court house.

Harding @ bv tomorrow. Make up game. Kinda meaningless since both eliminated in tourney lol. But nice to play one more game.

Alder squeaks out a 4-3 win vs Whitehall. Not very impressive win but I guess the W is the most important.
Alder faces the winner of Heath/Bexley this Monday. Highland and Watterson on the other side. Next week should be fun, selfishly hoping for a all moac final.

Harding lost 7-6. Horrible home plate home umpire to say the least didn't know the rules lol, strike zone had no consistency. And bv was more of cheerleaders lol. But a loss is a loss meaningless game no one looked like they wanted to be there. Prob cause both eliminated already. Fun season.

Good to see BV Seniors go out with a win after a long, long season. 4 is correct in it looked like a scrimmage game with neither team throwing their best pitchers. Don't know what cheerleading they did but I know they wish they had MH on their schedule more often. Only team they beat twice in league and didn't do much with the sticks vs BV.

That was Hardings best pitcher Lindsay. He didn't be care none of them did it was a bunch of laughs after the game. He threw a lot beginning of season complete games his arm was done 2 weeks ago it seemed.

I agree that Robbys arm was done, but I understand why the coach kept him in. But please don't say that none of them cared. I know for a fact that's not true.

One reason I say that multiple of them tried to skip the game. But wouldn't have lettered if didn't play last game was the rule if it was skipped. And they tried to miss practice day before. That was showing me they didn't care, in which I could see why. Tourney game was already lost.

Alder squeezes out a 2-1 win over Bexley. Rematch vs Watterson who got by Highland 2-1.
Alder played lights out defensively. Will need to do the same Wednesday and get something from the back part of the batting lineup to win. Watterson threw Dockman. Alder threw Duckworth, not sure who they will start on Wednesday.

Walk off winner. An amazing game. Alder scored 5 in the 1st and Watterson pulled their pitcher. Watterson scored 5 in the 2nd. Watterson plated another runner in the middle of the game. Alder tied it in the bottom of the 6th, escaped 1st and 3rd with 2 outs in the top of the 7th on an amazing play by our 3rd baseman. Loaded up the bases with one out, then Duckworth singled to right for the win.

Central's All District selections are out. Has anyone seen a list? For whatever reason they don't release them anymore to the media. I haven't seen district teams posted for the last several years. All-Ohio will usually get some publicity, but rarely in the newspapers. It was good to see Alder get 2 on 1st team, 1 on 2nd team and Honorable Mention

For whatever reason they don't release them anymore to the media. That's too bad - they deserve a little pub. Congrats to JA's picks Eisnaugle, Gehres, Duckworth & Maynard and for their district championship. I heard Harding had a second team pick but may be just a rumor.

Here you go, I found the Central District All Star program, it has each all district team in it. It follows the all star rosters for the game tonight. www.cdbca.com/uploads/9/9/8/0/99809308/2017cdbcaall-stargameprogram.pdf
