That’s just from the Big Ten though. There will most likely still be more sanctions from the NCAA once their investigation is complete. Vacated wins don’t do anything either when the games have already been played.

Really not much of a punishment, but it has to be pretty embarrassing to be suspended twice in the same season, at least it would be for most people.

Meaningless suspension when you can coach all week. But how embarrassing to scUM to have your head coach suspended twice during season. At most places that would translate to a firing but to scUM that translates to a raise. scUM athletic department is becoming a renegade department more suited to the SEC than the B1G imo

IMO no suspension will suffice for the cheating done, you can take away the wins, suspend the coach, etc, etc. My problem is the games are done and over with and we will never know if meat chicken would have done what they did without this advantage.

Suspended Harb’s while he’s on the plane and an hour before the court closes is BS. They could have done this Wednesday or any other day this week but chose to do it this way. Already smoke coming from the regents that leaving the B1G is a real possibility for Michigan. Michigan leaving would nuke the B1G’s tv contracts and take millions out of member schools bank accounts.

Sounds to me like someone making threats if you punish them.

Pray tell, where will scUM go? Certainly not SEC where they would face tough foes every week altho the no-rrules scUM would fit right in. They got caught and the worst is yet to come from the NCAA.

What’s the NCAA going to do? Nothing of substance considering they no longer do bowl bans. Dock Michigan scholarship's? That’s fine we’ll just have boosters pay kid’s tuitions via nil. Vacate wins and titles? Everyone knows who won the game. TV ban? Fox will end any talk of that one. Fines and show causes? That they can do to their hearts content. I’m sure the NCAA will try to ride in on their horse and act though. Truth is this is still the same organization that said “move along” to UNC providing sham classes.

Has anyone noticed how the position of Michigan fans has moved from...."that's crazy, it never happened".... to "there's no proof"....to "well, everyone does it".... to "so what, you can't do anything to about it that will hurt us"....??

I was encouraged to see Michigan doesn't have much of a pass offense. Personally I would like to see Ohio State beat Michigan with JH on the sideline. A bit more satisfying.

I’ve seen a lot of comments on how the BIG10 did Meat Chicken dirty. This kind of reminds me of a burglar going into a house that was left unlocked then using the excuse when they get caught “but the door was unlocked.”
Never forget Michigan put themself in this situation and to ever even remotely believe “no one of importance” used Stalions material is delusional.
These past three years will forever be the “what if wonders” because TTUN may have still have done it, but the doubt will forever cloud judgement and opinions.

So Hairball now claims scUM is the victim in all this and they should be called America's team because they are the real victims and are being persecuted. Jimmy and his fan base are more delusional daily. People don't like cheaters pure and simple. scUM is losing more and more creditability and stature as an institution as this wears on.

Sounds like Hairball is calling it quits and will sit out the last 2 games. Guess all the evidence against him isn’t just smoke and mirrors after all.

Drop litigation. B1G drops investigation but pledges to cooperate with ncaa. Someone blinked but sounds like B1G did

It appears that Big Ten and ncaa showed Michigan all the evidence they have so they made a deal with Harbaugh to drop it and they would drop their investigation as well.
Will be interesting to see what comes out of the ncaa investigation.

A week ago, Jeff Seidel of the Detroit Free Press wrote a very good opinion piece on this entire sign-stealing episode. He straight forward asked, where is the shame, where is the embarrassment from scUM? That in a lot of respects, is one of the main issues in this entire sordid affair. scUM has never denied it, never offered any explanation (other than everyone does it and this was done by a rogue staffer). Instead scUM has tried to bully its way through the situation and basically said we are Xichigan and we can do what we want and we;ll sue. The B!G and their toothless punishment deserves some criticism over this as well for their bungling of this matter. But in the end, scUM and its athletic department quite possibly may suffer more than it realizes and be remembered and forever labeled as cheaters. Thats the long-term harm that awaits this once prestigious and respected athletic program and institution IMO

Will be interesting to see what comes out of the ncaa investigation. If the court hearing had been allowed to go forward today, all of the details of the NCAA and Big10 investigation would have been on the record and public knowledge. I think Michigan finally realized that this would not end well for them in the matter of public opinion and the possible punishment and consequences could have been much more severe than Hairball missing 3 games. The Big10 didn't want to answer for their seemingly light punishment. So as stated above, they made a deal, solving both of their dilemma's for now. The NCAA, if past history is any indication, will drag their feet until after bowl season. To much $$$ at stake for everyone, to do anything now.

Man, Michigan's linebackers must've been awful vs Penn State...but it took them 5 days to realize it...as they fired their LB coach today. But hey, everybody cheats.
